Hi, just one question - the CL should be advanced to feather position when NH > 10%, but to avoid hot start NH should be optimally > 15%. I was just surprised how quickly starter run the turbine to this NH. Shouldn't it take longer?
You are right....when passing 10% NH RPM, advance C.L. to “FTR”. Regarding “acceleration time” it depends if you are starting on battery or GPU. Also depends on characteristics of battery, GPU or Starter / Generator. This start sequence is with GPU and yes things are going quickly... In this case was FTR placed little bit more than 10% NH. You can compare start from battery and times GPU vs. BAT on : video Danube Wings OM-VRC Engines Run-Up
@URMIAVIATION Thank you for explanation. It give a sense, BAT start-up is often high just because of low reached NH - as the small ATR MAIN BAT is not optimal power source for greedy starter. So GPU start have to be much more quicker and with higher NH. Thank you for explanation. :-)
