  • makes me love life.

  • Love this song & parts of the music video remind me of the one for Brooke Waggoner's Heal for the Honey, particularly the swimming paint. Both sort of beautiful & lilting at points.

  • I love the delicacy of Bon Iver's music.. I don't know how to explain it, but it is so amazingly unique.

  • @14zimm There is something incredibly unique about it and it's awesome.

  • 31 people dont know what good music is

  • Probably one of my favorite songs on this album.

  • Wow Love this one..... énorme!

  • I'm still trying to figure out how this won a grammy for best alternative album, sounds more like folk music.

  • @jmwsctc What does "alternative" music sound like? Alternative is a vague made up genre of music created by the music industry to categorize something they dont know how to pigeonhole. Alternative music is something that doesnt really exist.

  • i'm trippin balls man.

  • Holy Coldplay, Batman.

  • Sounds like nature

  • congrats to Bon Iver. Been listening to him since he started. he followed and pursued his dreams not listening to all the haters and look what that got him... A GRAMMY!!!

  • Can't you people accept the song as it is instead of putting a label on it or Bon Iver? It is what it is.

  • Oh my goodness. Holy Shit. I am blown away

  • 2:32 sounds like Peter Gabriel...

  • The guitar duet... oh man. ooooooooooooh man.

  • I wanna get high while I am listening to this, hell yeah!

  • best song on the album for me...

  • I want this as my screensaver, so I can abuse and desaturate it's beauty on a regular basis. And I mean that in the best way possible.

  • @mpRag3 couldn't agree more

  • musically it sounds like Afro pop, folk, hip hop, pop, jazz, and 80's music

  • Full screen-extraordinary. Full of colors, full of life.

  • Why the hell do you twats say "hipster" like it's a fucking club? I've been listening to "hipster" music since before they made an ridiculous term for it and I live in Portland, OR. It's called good music. Stop trying to label it and start listening.

  • @PatrickHamartia

"I've been listening to "hipster" music since before they made an ridiculous term for it and I live in Portland, OR"

Doesn't get much more "hipster" than that.

  • Every comment with the word "hipster" is getting downvoted by me. Fuck your asinine conversation.

  • As a "hipster" myself, I am "sick and tired" of being disrespected simply because I "enjoy" listening to hipsters like Bon. I am proud to "be" associated with hipster culture and I'm sure "that" Bon is too "!".

  • 28 motherfuckers!!

  • i fcking love this song!!

  • Trippy shit with the colors. feel like trying it but with a dubstep song

  • This song is great, but no recording will ever do this song justice. Best heard live in concert for sure.

  • @Mrpiggyinthemiddle fuck you troll

  • thank-you for sharing your gift with a world in desperate need of touch

  • I was painting while watching this video. I looked at my glass of water where I wash my paint brushes, and then I looked at the paint in the video. "Oh yeah! This is going on in this glass of water, and I can finally see it!"

This album is amazing! Worthy of many, many Grammy awards and more.

  • I am amused when I hear folks fighting over the authenticity of music and artists' styles. This song, whether intended or not, has serious reggae flavor (the melody, horns and bass) and I'm from somewhere that I'd know. Chew on that, rock fans!

  • @aekbranding

If you know how to play and compose music a reggae cover of this would be seriously cool to hear....

  • this is pure art

  • "never gonna break, never gonna break..." 3 simple words but they are so powerful in this context

  • This video has unimaginable beauty, once again Justin Vernon creates a masterpiece, Such a talented artist who I could listen to for ever!!!

  • "Fall is coming soon, a new year for the moon and the Hmong here"

i am Hmong. love you, Bon Iver.

  • "Never gonna break your cornbread"

  • amazing

  • it's a crime to neglect the 720p option with these deluxe videos...

  • saw him on monday on the homefront. as a rock fan, i was impressed. as a music fan, i was blown away, as a bluegrass fan i thought it needed more banjo. as a life fan, i found it remarkable that a town this size could produce a person who could produce something so elegant. oh and as a fan of freedom, i say: music is what it always has been and always will be, that which it is to the listener.

  • Guess what is now my phone background?

  • seriously shut up about likes and dislikes. it's like pandora, if you don't like a song, you move on.

  • Thanks for this song and others.

    I fly.

    FrenchKiss

  • Magical, show in the Netherlands was breathtaking, my favourite bay far!

  • lo mejor de la década!

  • que rechimba!

  • i'm surprised about the dislikes, haters are losers get a life

  • Acid trip much?

  • why most of this songs are names of citys/states? Is it where he was when he wrote them?

  • The awesome bass part with the dyes made a smile a smile!! that was awesome!!! :D

  • @loonyleper - the dye is the worst part! ugh! all the other videos is about nature or something, then this dye crap comes in. wtf? so doesn't flow with the rest of anything. seeems so dumb

  • Like it for what it is. Don't like it or dislike it because of a few people that like it.

  • Comment removed

  • @mitchelljermaine did you really take time out of your day to write that stupid ass comment? seriously, get a life.

  • "Doubled in the toes, annex it..." I lose it right there. Celestial.

  • acid trip.

  • Tout ce que j'aime le mauve les plantes, l'eau, le rythme, la lumière ça apaise mon ame

  • Full screen.....shit has gone down

  • It transitioned from Perth... WHAAADDAAFAAAA!!!

  • This is something amazing to watch when trippin

  • Damn! I am diggin that dye!!!

  • So, I bought this on iTunes yesterday because it's the only place to and was reminded just how much I hate Apple. Basically, I paid for videos that I can't watch anywhere but my PC. Great. Might as well have kept watching this on YouTube. Plus, one of the videos screwed up during download and I deleted it from the wrong menu, according to Apple's instructions about download errors. Then, I find that this is so common that they address it in their support and the solution is to pay for it again.

  • wow!!beautifully done....

  • TENNESSEE!!!!!!!!

  • I live in the biggest suburb in Minnesota.

  • The Mother Creator is Amazing Artist!

  • Stunning!

  • I live in Minneapolis!

  • I'm not enough "underground" to listen to that

  • That was good. now flip your screen upside down and replay...

  • Minnesota! Woot woot! :D

  • Favorite part = 0:00 - 3:53 :)

  • That song was cool. The video was better.

  • LETS HEAR IT FOR FOOD COLORING!!!

  • quit trolling fuckers

  • this is pretty much the shit

  • Fuck the mainstream, it's stealing what's belongs to the talented and then giving it to spoiled auto tune teenagers who can't write decent songs, let alone their own. 11 people are probably still listening to kanye.

  • Minnesota

  • U suck

  • I wish I had 3D glasses for this

  • Comment removed

  • minnesota is the best

  • @OneCarnivorous

    Wisconsin is equally as best

  • Stunning!

  • Ab

  • lol

  • these are amazing!!

  • honestly, when I heard they were going to make videos for all the songs on the new album I was kinda worried about this because it it my favorite of the album. I can say for certain, this couldn't have been any better. So unbelievably awesome!

  • are these new videos new music videos or what please!!

  • anyone else hallucinating?

  • @cecilia048 More like Halocenating

  • Would've enjoyed it more high.

  • Replace the vocalist. Chorus effect on a vocalist is unnecessary, unless they aren't any good.

  • GO MINNESOTA!!!!

  • Well dude give me some advise on to have every one watch it like a million pep

  • play this song while watching the radiohead "do the evolution" video and watch how they sync perfectly!!

  • Art. Just. Happened.

  • Favourite song on this album + best video on this album = PROCRASTINATION

  • I came here because it was spotlighted. Successful advertisement is successful

  • I love this song. The start of the video makes me proper crave ice lollies though.

  • Bon Iver is pure epic'ness!!

  • Justin handed me a demo when we were in college before he was in Bon Iver. Like "hey, check out my band, we're playing at the Stones Throw this weekend" I was like "yeah sure, Justin, sure will..." I think I threw it out or lost it like every other demo I've ever gotten from some who's said "dude you need to check out my band!" Whoops :D

  • Why is every instrument slightly out of tune?

  • @qpstrafe Its jammin :) Just let the music flow. Someone like it , some one dont.

  • This is dope.

  • loving life

  • :D

  • Hipster shit

  • @SUBinfinit

LMAO. Just because someone makes good fucking music and videos to accompany it that are outside of the mainstream and beyond the times does NOT make them a hipster. You probably would have called Shakespeare, Beethoven, and Picasso hipsters too. The thing is, these people will be remembered and you will be forgotten.

  • @GuyOnTheSide although you have a point, I would hesitate to compare this music to that of Beethoven. I am not a writer or a visual artist so I can not speak upon Shakespeare's or Picasso's behalf, but I do know that the complexities within Beethoven's compositions are well beyond a bunch of sustained dominant chords for 4 minutes straight. Apples and oranges my friend.

  • @St4rW01f

I am not trying to place Bon Iver on the same level as these artists, I am just fucking TIRED AS FUCK of people who constantly use the word "hipster" to define people and things. I seriously doubt that Bon Iver had being "cool" and "different" on his mind when writing his music.

  • @GuyOnTheSide actually cool and different are probably pretty close to what he was thinking. right behind beautiful. No Shame Man. Hipster bashing is lamer than hippie bashing. This Hipster Revolution is going down in history whether we like it or not!

  • Comment removed

  • @GuyOnTheSide

But the problem is thats why people think its cool. Its a matter of being "socially esquisite" as NY Times phrased it.

  • @GuyOnTheSide AGREED.

  • @GuyOnTheSide Actually, I believe "cool" and "different" to be one of the KEY reasons his music is GOOD... Why would you say anything otherwise? On another note... THIS VIDEO is brilliant! wow! I've never seen music so well represented in the abstract form like this.

  • @GuyOnTheSide Agreed! Except that Bon Iver is not a person, but the band name :) Jusin Vernon is the singer (and songwriter).

  • @GuyOnTheSide what you a vindictive fuck you are...lol

  • @GuyOnTheSide ya im with you plus the fact that this is not hipster in anyway

  • @GuyOnTheSide You fucking hipster

  • @GuyOnTheSide Couldn't you say that anyone that isn't widely recognized is non-mainstream? And consider the fact that something being "beyond the times" is a subjective, abstract concept; not a concrete concept. While I understand your point, I just felt that these parts of your argument need further clarification.

  • @GuyOnTheSide Additionally, "hipster" is subjective. If you define yourself by that label... you think, therefore you are.

  • @GuyOnTheSide

    Hah, Shakespeare was totes mainstream.

  • @GuyOnTheSide it only makes you a hipster if you like a certain type of music and think you are better than someone else for it :)

  • @GuyOnTheSide you cant compare bon iver to shakespeare or beethoven.

  • @GuyOnTheSide

Why did the hipster burn his tounge on the pizza? Because he ate it before it was cool!

  • @GuyOnTheSide

Only 2 things come from Minnesoter boy.... Queers and Niggers

  • @Mikuruification Minnesota accounts for the supply of grains, dairy products, and other things. Minnesotans also hold and practice indisputed Christian morals, whereas folks in the south use the argument of "state's rights" to preserve their lives in sin.

  • @SaintMaryinBlack

lol I was kidding, I'm from Screamo California

  • trippy!

  • i love this so much.

  • Gorgeous.... beautiful.

  • nice

  • I've been playing this over and over all day, letting it saturate my soul, my being, with beauty and wonder. Beautifully done.

  • Nice, until the vocals start...

  • so incredible

  • If this is considered art, I'd rather be blind and deaf!

  • @cozm085 ok, we dont care

  • 2:30 scares me somehow

  • @ApprovedByJesus pussy

  • @omardipset Jerk.

  • @FTAHindependent hey man its all in good fun. were all bon iver fans here, a very small percentage of lucky people

  • @omardipset You're right... Let's all just have good time :) Peace, love and good music.
