  • I like to ride with my seat low. since i feel i have more control over the bike for when doing tricks.

  • what a tick!

  • walmart, target, sears bikes are all death traps!

  • how do i ajust a cheap walmart moutain bike handle bar

  • why am i watching this

  • he's a tool

  • are the handle bars not suppose to higher than the seat?

  • @royalconcrete1 nice1

  • I really don't know how you can't understand understand this lesson. There is a correct seat height to each individual and his/her riding style. If you are simply commuting then your seating is going to differ than those riding trails, downhill or xc.

  • I find these saddles with a centre channel actually cause more discomfort than saddles without centre channels

  • is it ok to mount a bike by standing on one pedal with one foot to make it easier to get on as full suspension bikes have different methods for mounting as sag make the saddle height different. . i'm 5 ft 11 without shoes and weith the seat right down on my bike i can touch the ground with the ball of my foot but i cannot touch the ground with my foot fully flat. i bought a large santacruz bullit, should i maybe of bought a medium. its quite difficult as most shops just want a sale

  • "Don't run it too high and don't have it too low" thanks for the help..idiot!

  • It's not 73,25mm, it's 73,25cm!!

  • @Swedishnerd he said mm.

  • thanks

  • if your jumping keep your seat as low as possible.. out of the way then :P

  • @101dirtjump u know he is talking about down hiil not dirt jumping but still ur right

  • Heyy i have an Iron horse! xD mines an outlaw 4.3 tho

  • Thats the way I do it too. I think that leg position at the bottom of the stroke gets the most power down.

  • nice pegions haha i wear nike sb's too :D

  • Measuring the seat height from the center bolt of the crank arm to the top of the seat as a standard won´t be accurate if another bike has a longer crank arm. Should be measured from the pedal axle to the top of the seat, it'll be a constant

  • Are you suppose to set the height to the same height as your crotch ?

  • Can you tell me what cak=n i do for my bike !

Its 22" and if i do what you said i cant rich the ground with all my foot!!

  • @TheTsine Drop it lower when on the trail you will want to be able to reach the ground if you need to, I had the same problem.

  • hey, i don't know how old you are but you might wanna consider going back a few grades in school because you have shitty grammar. its "understand" and "instead". and yeah, my dad gave it to me "from the rear" .... that makes a lot of sense.

  • Yes, you could maybe lower your seat just a little bit O_o. And also, I think you mean cm, 'cos 73mm is like the size of my finger.

  • lol a wrench!

  • Talk English!!!!!!!!!! because you look like you couldn't touch the floor incase you need to balance at a stop light!!!!!!!!

  • Talk English...ummm...yeah.

  • all he did was just guessed and he didn't really say much about the measurement and the knee supposed to be at a certain angle, he wasn't being specific about it, he couldn't reach the floor incase if he needs to be at a stop light to reach the ground for support. what i mean is be FUCKING SPECIFIC

  • There is no magic number, no equation for "correct" seat height. None. So I fail to see how he could get more specific. Also, unless you a preschooler, most of us don't glue our ass to the seat and perch with our feet on the ground. We lean the bike, or slide off the seat, or pedal slower tell we get to the light, or simply do a track stand. If you are sitting on your seat with your feet flat on the ground you are killing your knees and holding up traffic riding SLOOOW.

  • alright makes sense.

  • DUDE! do you work in a pedal bike industry??? Learn your unit of measure!!!

    1inch= 25.4mm/2.54cm.

Are you seriously telling us that the distance from the center of your crank to the saddle is 73.25mm??? THAT IS JUST 2.88 INCHES!

WHAT KIND OF WEIRD TAPE MEASURE YOU GOT??

  • Dude, I am sure he meant Centimetres, not Millimetres, ok? Geeze! Lighten up already.

  • C'mon man! I'm just busting his baLLs. It's all good. I meant well, just playing. *_*

  • good video, thank you!

  • kk!

  • Pretty sure he meant cm and not mm.... that is why he paused for a second when he stumbled and said "mm". I think he knew the mistake after the fact lol. 73.25cm = 28.8"

  • 73.25mm? wtf LOL let me grab my atomic laser caliper

    crazy bastard ..
