  • That looks awesome!

  • this looks very fun

  • I was wondering if there is anyone working in the field of Occupational therapy who could help me out with an interview for a class assignment. My email is s.tirrell1218@yahoo.com. I would be happy to send an email with the questions and very much appreciative for the help.

  • Can you provide your email address so the program director can contact you directly? She will be a tremendous resource for you!

As for grades, an acceptable level has to be maintained but "perfection" as indicated by a 4.0 isn't mandatory.

  • I would like to be contacted by the OTA program director. Do you have to maintain a 4.0 to stay in the program?

  • When you say performance in the A&P class, do you mean with a full class load?

  • @Irene5937 Not necessarily. No matter your course load, doing well in A&P classes is usually an indicator of future success! As you can see on the Penn College website, we have an Open House coming up on March 26. Perhaps, you'd like to visit then and meet the OTA staff and faculty? If you can't, I could have the OTA program director contact you to thoroughly discuss the challenges and rewards of the major.

  • How difficult is the OTA program once you finish the prerequisite classes such as the anatomy classes and labs? I've taken Medical Terminology and got a B. How difficult is the actual program? Is it hype or used to eliminate students? Anxious in Michigan.

  • @Irene5937 We have found Anatomy and Physiology are a good indicator of success in the OTA major classes. Success also rests on those with good organization and time management skills. Students need strong skills so when they graduate they will be able to pass the NBCOT Certification Exam (we have an excellent pass rate at Penn College) and be good therapists! If you would like to communicate directly with our OTA program director, feel free to share your email address. Take care!

  • You're awesome :) For anyone, please be aware that the field of OT may be both mentally and physically exhausting albeit rewarding as my cousin had gone to school for occupational therapy assistant. Wishing you the best of luck in school and in the field, and please continue to study hard ;)
