  • I was going to ask where you got the images, then I noticed the date of the video. I doubt you still remember or if they're even still up, but if by some remote chance you do please let me know. Great video.

  • omg, i about shit bricks, i NEVER heard of this group/album before. FUCKING LOVE IT

  • Elder gods = Elohim = El's, Ancient Ones = the more amphibious beings such as the Dogon people know of.

El's are Nibiru, Ancient Ones are Sirians, they're related to the more recent creation of the jew tribes etc here - based on existing indigenous people, and on some elements of the Els themselves.

the current dominant human species - has operating system based on symbols and archetypes, and problems relating to golem creations, where the slavery of jews comes from.

  • Nox Arcana best captures the atmosphere of Lovecraft's books. I have not found anything better than the album "Necronomicon."

  • I normally hate clipart videos.

    This was awe inspiring.

    Thank you for this video!

  • SUFFER AND DIE

LIFE IS A LIE AND SO IS DEATH

THERE IS NO RELEASE FROM THEM

    THEY...ARE....COMING...!

  • Im not to bothered about the Old Ones, unless they start banging on about the war or "When I was a spore all this was primordial jungle as far as my hundreds of eyes could see"etc.

  • This is in response to Buttonmasher who says happy people cannot conjure images of sheer terror. One of the greatest masters of horror and suspense was Alfred Hitchcock, who was an extremely happy person and an excellent father according to his children. Possibly because of the ability to separate fantasy from reality.

  • HOLLY SHIT! This is EPIC!

  • lol has anyone else notice how Lovecraft is referenced to A LOT in fallout 3?????

  • I did my senior project on Lovecraft last week. I wish I found out about Nox Arcana sooner!

  • i feel like this is a warning.... O.o

  • what's the picture at 1:10?

  • @Beenyad It is by the Polish painter Beksinski

  • Necronomicon or the original name of the Kitab al Azif there is truth

  • You can tell there's something off about the guy in this thumbnail..

  • Very very fascinating !! I wonder if this is where the writers for the 1 st Hellboy got there source material!!!

  • there are vary few who believe this literally. to the cultists its mostly just a symbol. its closer to Satanism, which accually has little to do with worshiping the devil. its more like self worship, in a very narcissistic way. kind of like a Survival of the fittest kind of attitude. that you do what you can to better yourself, even if that involves hurting others.

  • magic my ass, this is total bullshit. Nothing exists, everything is in your fucking head, in your subconscious call it whatever you wan't but not Magic. bah why I'm saying this on youtube like there is a chance that someone could understand...

  • sheet das scurry

  • Necronomicon is fake.... The old ones are fake... Get over it.

  • @bud389 you're fake.

  • @bud389 Yeah. It's all fictional. Still it's nutjobs who think it's real. It's still a cool fiction by Lovercraft though

  • @bud389 So says who? You? phht.

  • @NineTailsDemonFox says the guy who created it, H.P. Lovecraft, dumbass.

  • @bud389 Well Mr I Don't Give A Fuck - let people believe what they want. Shit. Even Pastafarianism has believers. Haters gonna hate just like bud389. Btw Budweiser sucks. Jack Daniels FTW.

  • @NineTailsDemonFox Erm, my name isn't a reference to budweiser... and no, its not a reference to pot either.

  • wow= destruktion

  • So awesome..I used to play this in my Spirit halloween store...customers were clueless!

  • if only mankind respected each others belief and religion there wont be any fucking wars.

  • I voted for Cthulu for President so don't blame me

  • something about the necronomicon

was said in sorrento's society at war

    He says intelligence agents are

usin' the mask of mystification to maintain power and that everything is about windtalkers

  • uuuuugh someone please explain me what exacly is the key to the succes in lovercraft's creations!!! i mean why has cthulhu become such a big pop culture icon, i mean i don't know even exacly what the heck cthulhu IS!!!!! an alien? demon? monster? mutant? wtheck is going on whit this!! i dont get it!!!

  • @30DanieljeaN30 You said what the key to success is without realizing it.

There is always an element of mystery surronding the nature of the elder gods. The question you asked, (paraphrasing) "What IS Cthulhu?" is what keeps people interested and coming back for more.

If Lovecraft had ever fully explained what the elder gods were, he would have lost half of his readers and been buried in hate mail.

  • @30DanieljeaN30 Cthullhu is a new concept, Cosmic horror

  • @JezusSlave

  • Necronomicon and Lovecraft. It appears again!!..the fiction-creature might as well, outreach its creator...

  • if only so many idiots did not worship this fellow.

  • @BroomsExporium if you dont like dont watch it (fucken hypocrite)

  • :

    2- : - 2 0 1

  • What would Lovecraft know about the Protheans, who became extinct 50,000 years ago?

  • RIP Lovecraft...till next time

  • @LiamXaoh To be totally honest, your comment made me cum. It was so perfectly crafted! Damn, I just came again. Where are the damn wash clothes...

  • @nakada7224 -how am I supposed to get that image out of my mind. Hang on (sounds of snorting... ) ah that's better, now what were you saying?

  • Interesting mythos - it seems to me, however, the only real grounding of it is in the old religions of Sumer.

  • The reason most authors of horror today pale in comparison to the literary might of lovecraft and poe, for example, is because they are happy people. Happy people cannot see the world in the way that is required to conjure images of sheer terror in the minds of the feeble, as those in suffering are so vastly capable.

  • @1Buttonmasher You're an idiot.

  • @1Buttonmasher Could you elaborate?

  • @1Buttonmasher Best comment I've ever seen on youtube congratulations.

  • Lovecraft Rules! Thanks for posting this vid!

  • freakin auwsum!!

  • cthulhu is awesome...

  • a friend of mine had a necronomicon book and he wouldnt let me read it. OK I said, Ill just google it when I get home. Honestly it just sounds like a really good story...Id bet its someones imagination...which isnt ot be taken lightly. Well he just gave me a look and was silent. idk I dont want to inadvernantly give it power in my life by ignoring it...but learning too little can be more dangerous than learning too much. oh well. trippy artwork and plenty of weed.

  • nice video

  • oh sheesh, can anyone actually tell what the necronomicon is with out the moronic music and evil voice and talk. BORING.

  • I just bought the complete works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Such a good author. He ought to be taught in schools when they teach Poe, so kids can start seeing the progression of American Horror literature.

Honestly, though, guys. Lovecraft was a storyteller. There are those who believe that what he wrote about really is out there, but I sure hope it's not. I hope it stays where it belongs, in thrilling tales.

Besides, the first person to suggest that what Lovecraft wrote is real was Crowely. Really?

  • @SpartanJose777 In response to what you said - first of all, Lovecraft is not taught in schools because his racist ideologies and expressions are against the status quo of today, and the government does not what traditionalists, it wants modernists. What makes great horror, I think, is a certain level of traditionalism. Secondly, when you say that what he wrote is *purely* fictional, I disagree. Although there may not be Elder Gods and whatnot, his philosophy still holds true today.

  • @1Buttonmasher True-- he is very racist. Luckily, it doesn't shine through in most of his works. Most of my teachers, when I mentioned Lovecraft, were more or less open to the possibility of teaching him.

As for whether or not his stuff is real... well, like I said before, I certainly hope not, but in a few ways life tends to imitate art.

  • @SpartanJose777 lol what are you talking about? his racism shows through in his best works: call of cthulhu, the reanimator, rats in the walls... You would think that a man who was capable of seeing the universe (at least while writing) in non-anthropocentric terms would have a more egalitarian view on skin color, but what can you do? I think reanimator was ended like crap, but otherwise all his works were excellent.

  • @ChienesSaventPas Well, I was at least able to ignore it in most of his works, is what I meant to say.

  • @SpartanJose777 If anything, guys, it does well to teach about racist books in school, I think. Books like To Kill a Mocking Bird deal with racism, it doesn't make the kids reading it racist, if anything, it makes them more aware of it as a problem. To see that racism (or ethnicism) in Lovecraft's time was prevalent, but even then, Lovecraft himself was pronnouncedly racist, and that it may have been a tool for his books. Later, after travelling and seeing the world his views became moderated.

  • @SpartanJose777 So, you -don't- want to keep a Shoggoth as a pet? : P

  • @SpartanJose777 Yeah i agree he is the 20th centry Edgar allen poe and unlike poe Lovecraft's work has actually spawned actual cults pretty amazing story in the fiction and then the aftermath of what his mythos have made!

  • @SpartanJose777 Indeed I love his writings but sadly most people now a days don't pay it the respect it should

  • @SpartanJose777 HAHAHAHA If you think Lovecraft should be taught in schools you're seriously bent my friend. You're right, he WAS a storyteller, but that was it. he was not an author or artist in any way. In fact, he had only written originlly to amuse his friends. And by the way, the Necronomicon doesn't exist...it was something made up by Lovecraft to get people riled up while reading his works and have 10,000 idiots a year go into the library asking for one only to be turned away...

  • @Noobcake13 Yeah dude there is a necronomicon they got them on amazon dumbass

  • @UndeadClown95

That´s not the REAL Necronomicon...there are several fake versions in print.

  • @NKA23 Im talking about the one lovecraft wrote

  • @UndeadClown95

Lovecraft never wrote any of the many versions of the "Necronomicon".

He INVENTED it for his stories, actually while still being a child.

The Necronomicon doesn´t really exists outside of his (and some other writers´) stories.

  • @NKA23 well no shit it isnt the same legendary one like from army of darkness

  • @UndeadClown95

Sort of...in Army Of Darkness it´s called "Necronomicon exmortis" which doesn´t really make sense but sounds creepy, it´s a reference to Lovecraft´s work and even "Cthulhu" is mentioned several times in chants in the Evil Dead-series in which Army Of Darkness is the third episode.

  • @Noobcake13 obvious troll is obvious

  • @SpartanJose777 I like to imagine that Howard's stories were his means of dealing with the nature of the universe. Given the type of sensitive and phobic person he was, that which he could not understand manifested in his mind as emitting malevolence. Or maybe he really was just inadvertently remote viewing alien organims in our fauna and those of other celestial bodies. Who knows. Fun to imagine, in any case.

  • @SpartanJose777

    Iä, R´lyeh!

  • AWESOME

  • can someone tell me plzzz where i can get lovecraft books? its to bad that i live in israel

  • @rockpop1 If you dont have the normal major chain bookstores like Barnes and Nobles, which sucks coz they have pretty much anything Lovecraft you want, and your local small bookstores font carry them. Then you should be able to ask them and most will order the books you want. Or go online, Barnes & noble has an online Order system Other than that, try Amazon.

  • i almost changed my religion because of this black magic.. (out of too much wrath with people around me) but im into the craft within wicca's power.. I loved God, I'm a christian and i'm never ashamed of it.. but sometimes i find it unfair in the dark side to have that special powers..while good ones cant do.. :|

BTW, is this just a myth??

  • @yuhna012 Yes, a fictional Myth.

  • Lol

  • Here´s a question. The Necronomicon grimoire was imaginated for a story by Lovecraft, right. I haven´t read all of the Necronomicon collection yet but I´ve started reading it and haven´t gotten to the story where the grimoire is mentioned (don´t you rat!), but somebody please tell me, how did an imaginative grimoire all of a sudden go from being fantasy to the worlds most sought after grimoire to something you can buy at CDON?

  • Not all that strange. After the movie "The Blair Witch Project" came out, there were people on the net expressing their utter and complete certainty that it was for real, and some people who knew from school the main actress had a hard time convincing people she wasn't REALLY dead... If people want to believe, they do.

  • I see, so the reason people believe in a book from another book is a movie?

Then again, stranger things have happened.

  • @DArlauccualrADfan Not exactly. My point just is that people believe int the weirdest things. One of the reasons, for example, that Holocaust deniers have such wind in the sails these days, is that people tend to read more dubious stuff on the internet than informed scholarly work. There's a too human inclination to think that if it's in writing, then it must be true.

  • Okay, but here´s another question. Were the rites or incantations or whatever actually ever written down by Lovecraft? I´m just wondering cause I know the book has been sold nearly twenty years ago, not to mention that they´re reissuing it again, but when I looked for the writer it didn´t say anything. I just want to know if it´s a fake created by fans or something H.P. wrote himself.

  • @DArlauccualrADfan I think what he is saying is that if you are a good story teller you create whats called "Suspension of Disbelief". If you're really good, then the suspension continues long after the story telling experience is over. Lovecrafts skill and genius lay in hi ability to create that by seamlessly interwieving real history with his fiction.

  • When you add in the tendency of folks to believe, well anything, particularly when you throw conspiracy theories in. Then what you may have done is created a monster snowball that just keeps rolling.

  • @DArlauccualrADfan

    Easy Necronomicon = power

Humans = power hungry = will believe anything related to power.

+ its great for about every undead type story as a source of know how .

    Uhm Wtb The Necronomicon :)))))

  • Stupid shit.

  • Whoo!!

  • Yaaaay death and destruction!

  • Guys if you wanna practice magick which I do encourage then start with the actual works of actual Magicians and or Witches depending on your preference. The Necronomicon is fake, the Simonomicon is not that book, which as I said was fake. I dont doubt that following the rituals in there could prove interesting, like I have said the guy who wrote it knew something of occult practice, but it was written as a hoax which makes sense it would incorporate things that could potentially fool or mislead

  • experienced practitioners. Though as far as I can tell, few of us have ever believed that it was the real thing. Especially when its common knowledge that Lovecraft made it all up. Still Lie I say you might be able to get something out of it. But so many people who read it, seem to miss the warning at the fron which says that what is summoned through that book, is never wholly banished. That alone should keep you at bay. Besides, there are real grimoires and magick to study in abundance.

  • Comment removed

  • @TubingYou165 you're right man it is fiction, but good luck getting some folks to believe it. Even Lovecraft said it was fiction, he never made any bones about that. Yet here it is. Suddenly all the Necronomicon cults pop up because folks are unwilling to do the research, or iunwilling to believe it. Then some people tak an extra step and start tying it into Nibiru, and a whole world of other things. It gets so tiresome.

  • I think people tie it in with Nibiru because of the obvious similarities to the story of "The Fall" in Judeo-Chrisitanity. The first time I heard the story in this video I immediately realized how it sounded just like the "Fall" of Lucifer in the Bible. H.P. Lovecraft was obviously very influenced by his Catholic roots.

  • @TheMagickScene Except he wasn't catholic, if anything he was very anticatholic. BTW, I consider anyone who really belives in magic not retarded, but at least stupid in some facet or another. Seriously, I've done enough research nd listene to enough "practitioners of magick" talk about it to realize it's more like a bunch of dorks got waaaaay to serious about a game of D&D and/or had a dumbfuck history teacher,

  • Here´s an idea, maybe he didn´t have to believe it himself to read the bible. Maybe he just sought inspiration from it? You don´t have to be a believer for that.

  • You, my friend, are a complete asshole.

If you think you did enough research to conclude that, I guess I could pull out the fact you have never actually talked with a true practitioner of magick at all.

I'm not one, but I know what it is about and it's not just delirium or the like, you can believe it or not, wont change your life, but you can't just deduce that from your poor, ridiculous "research"

If you think it's just nerdy driftaway, ressurrect Crowley and ask him if he played D&D, loser

  • @BlackMoses009 if it had existed during that time I'm sure he would've.

  • @SkyShaw Not likely, he was great at Chess but considered it a meaningless distraction, kinda like speaking when you dont know what youre talking about.

  • @SkyShaw Your opinion is your own but the fact remains that Magickal Practitioners are usually highly read, well educated people. Few Ceremonialists I know have anything less than a trade school under their belt. Most are sensitive, and quite knowledgable about history. Now Christians on the other hand...

  • @TheMagickScene I agree with you, though I actually believe he was the Protestant, in upbringing, but I only say this because either here or elsewhere I said Lovecraft was Catholic, and I believe I was mistaken. but yes youre right the influence is obvious

  • i dont realy care if the book exists or not its fuckin awsome and every movie ever made should be based of it lol jk.H.P. Lovcraft tickles the spine

  • hey gus, my god has a bigger dick than your god

  • The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist!!

  • The greatest trick Christianity ever pulled was creating that line. lol

  • You've just ruined my cool line from "The Usual Suspects" Thanks!!

  • i would do some intresting things with a book like that

  • i found a copy of that book but scared of reading =)

  • i want to read it too

  • @sinancans

    wanna read it

  • is it the avon black book with a symboyl in white? becouse if it is that isn't the real thing nor is there a real necronomicon as far as lovecrafts one's he mentions in his short stories. the avon one just mention the old ones and mad arab to make you think it's real. but i think the avon black paperback book is for black magic or certian wicca factions im not totaly sure wich one but i would highly suggest not trying that stuff unless you been trained by somebody who know this stuff.

  • @ardon68 For the Record you're partly right the Black Book or more commonly known Simonomicon is in fact a fake Necronomicon. However I myself am a practicing Occultis, a "Ceremonial Magician" and I can tell you that who ever wrote that, which is still a mystery did have some familiarity with Ceremonialism and what we seem to know of Merkabah mysticism, which is the precursor to modern Qabala studies and practice. You needn't be trained by anyone, nor should you make it the first thing you try

  • I'ts impossible my friend all the différents version of this book are lost

  • it doesn't exist... its a fictional book...

  • @Navili502 says who

  • Uh for the record HP Lovecraft says so. He si the guy who made it up, and The name of the Mad Arab? That was one of lovecrafts Childhood nicknames. He made it up after he read 1001 Arabian nights. Also hundreds of researchers, historiand and occult scholars , who know among other things that John Dee never translated such a book. Thats who says so, I bleieve Navili502 just said it, and now so have I.

  • What you may think doesn't exist is on your own free will to believe, others may say you're an idiot & believe what you hear/read am i right? well buddy! you never know till you experience & study it first hand. DON'T want to argue over this just saying... don't always believe what you read/hear/see it can deceive you

  • Good advice, follow it. Unless youre afraid to read what the man who came up with it has to say. Go to the HP Lovecraft Archive. They have copies of his letters. And a pretty comprehensive history of the man himself. Who in his own words says it is completely fictional and had to tell possibly hundreds of people that constantly. Because they were unable to seperate his fiction from the history he used to wrap that fiction in. Lovecrafts talents were also his curses.

  • @TwiztidBighaze Well clearly Im not the one in this room with that problem. I mean it seems you actually believe it exists.

  • hail cthulhu

  • This book is royal the one who has a copy

  • I just love this video. I think it really expresses the atmosphere of Lovecrafts universe.

    Whitch is despair & horror

  • Best H.P. Lovecraft story-based songs:

    HIM - Borellus

Metallica - All nightmare long, Through the never, The thing that should not be,

    The call of Ktulu

  • IA IA CTULHU FTAGHN!

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • nice video

  • Roll up, roll up. Get your copy of the Necromonicon here! This book is more popular than the bible, a commonplace rarity of a tome.

Pleased to meet, sorry to part, pleased to meet again. Which way doth thou travel, brother?

  • since i read the books of the necronomicon and the grimoires without even trying "spells" or "curses" i have witness some fucked up shit and some of them can be found in lovecratfs stories, makes me wonder if he read the old scripts

  • Yes he did read old scripts, manuscripts that he wrote in the 1920's when he invented the necronomicon. Spells, amgic, curses, are all horse shit. Any effects you see are imagined by you in a sort of self sustaining denial of reality. Magic is fake, as fake as any other religion.

  • Nope that is the lie of a delusional freak unable to get into touch with spirituality. Wjhile I dont necesarily believe the guy above, I definitely agree with you. Ive been practicing this stuff for a while. Usually you dont get any wierdness from it. But sometimes if youre a fool who cant folow instructions disconcerting things can follow. Have you even tried or did you expect to just come across a spell book one day like in the disney movies? Is that where you get you idea of magick? Hollywood

  • Magick is seriously as bullshit as any other religion, what you claim happens when you "conjure" is the same that any other religious person claims to happen when they pray. It's all psychosomatic.

  • @SkyShaw eh dude wath happens with the magic stuff is the result of the energy you put in it just like in physical movement if you put in enough energy it moves cracks etc that happens also wen you put alot of energy/concentration with your mind then things may happen the tension in the room changes and in some cases smaal things might happen but its power comming from the brain with folows a universal rule that aplys on evrything its science but some say magic

  • Hardly, and I doubt a priest would tell you the last time he conjured and new he was standing mere feet from a Demon in a triangle. You can feel that stuff, its very tangible. There are somthings that happen which are the same. But by and large the affects of magick are far different from usual religious interactions. Partly because they are done for different reasons. Also its fine if you thing religion & magick are BS. But one, youre on you own. Two, don;t expect a good response from that

  • 3 the results and benefits to people who are practitioners of such spiritual things are of immense value, which cannot be discounted by some cynical atheits opinion. Frankly you may consider keeping that in your hat. Especially if your gonna be hostile about it.

  • @Hambie76 good point, I forgot I'm the only atheist in existance.

  • Youre harldy the only atheist. But Globally speaking you guys are in the minority. And as individuals, have the most annoying tendency of looking down your collective noses at and being insulting towards, people engaged in Normal Human activities. Its not Atheism I find offensive, just the way it is often expressed. Especially when those of us of a spiritualleaning are ridiculed and made to feel like we're stupid, for having the strength to believe in something greater than ourselves.

  • @Hambie76 true atheists are a minority or there wouldn't be so many religion wars out in the world.

  • Actually Methos, if there were more Atheist, the religious wars and persecutions would likely increase. One side would be looking to defend themselves or destroy the non-believers, just like it is. The Atheist, given the way Ive noticed them acting as a group and as individuals tend to have a snotty opinion of those of us who have spirituality. Some actually think there is something wrong with us.Likely they would immediately try to "Correct" us.

  • @Hambie76 There aren't fanatics of atheism but there are stupid people, not the same thing. Can't say the same about religious fanatics.I,and I'm sure everybody that has the minimal knowledge of democracy and freedom, have no problem if you pray a god or several gods.I just won't allow it to push that belief on me.This aren't right or wrong because your religion says so.

And as I recall there weren't the so called witches burning the clerics but viceversa.

  • Stupid people, right, which is the general way in which many atheists treat folks who are spiritual or religious. Which is basically one manifestation of Fanatcism. Any time you have a group in the majority you you find that group will eventually look to others not of that group as stupid. or somehow misguided. They then take it upon themselves to "Guide" These people. Are you aware that Communist states are thechnically atheist and that even though they may allow reliegions to exist they do so

  • As for your other two points, there is a difference between Tolerance, and acceptance. I recommend you check a dictionary for a more concise definition. Becasue clearly you don't understand that for instance Conservative, Christians at least in this country tolerate others religious choices because the law says so. However, given the choice they wont. In fact our last president demonstrated that beautifully. Also you are correct I dont recall hearing about witches burning clerics. But then

  • last I checked, Witches weren't and are not Atheists. Especially in the middle ages. the concept wouldve been virtually unheard of and even by the most heretical mind, likley to be inconcievable. Especially if youre talking about country folk. I'm not sure what your point is on that. Now I dunno whay you chose that screen name. If youre an athiest with spiritual leanings then perhaps pantheism is more to your liking. Im just saying, if youre an atheist anyway. Do you YOU have the Strength to do that? Or do you just wish to sit there and smugly dismiss it out of hand? Or are you just afraid you might suddenly experience something which leads you to believe? Its not like Im saying you'll get struck down for being an atheist. your will is your own, all Im saying is if thats your way, then

  • Dont be snide to people who have a more "traditional way" Its simply not good form to make people feel like fools because they are a part of valid Human traditions and practices. I mean, if they're running around trying to convert by sword or firem then ok, but most aren';t and being a rude to people of faith and trying to make them feel dumb, is the same thing as holding a gun to their head until they see your way as the best way.
