Best way to kill Fafnir is to use steam. FQFQFQFQFQFQ... each cast can up to 3k.

otherwise,summon death also very fast and effective. but that will be boring although it looks cool. Lol!

As for assatur,use QSQSQS shoot him,then spam thunderbolt,each bolt will give him 10k damage. just 6 bolts,game over. Moreover,if he try to heal,thunderbolt will cancel the heal.

Lol I used a treant and shield as my shields and I just spammed beams. That guys butterfly attack is surprisingly.

Why not thunderbolt-ing all the way? Just spam it for a whopping 5000-10000 dmg in one hit.

Or use the tron suit and go thunderstorm. (dunno if this will work tho)

I spammed thunderbolt while having a QFSAFE shield cast on myself.

me and a friend of mine were screwing around in story mode once we beat it and got vortex... we vortex the bridge by mistake in chapter 5 right before the boss, the king walked across it and got killed... the game froze and we had to restart our computers, and we killed vlad outside the boss fight when he's invincible

You can out-damage Assatur with a Super Steam Beam (fqfqaas)

there's another way to one hit fafnir or almost any other boss for that matter, without use of gram sword

get up close, summon death, and then teleport

thats how i killed fafnir and then vlad within 15 seconds of each battle start

wow for some reason on my game its not registering that i am hitting grimnir with spells so i had to melee him to death. and DO NOT EVER pick up vlads gauntlet thing. even after i swithed that weapon out for a new staff i couldnt heal myself without getting hurt. it was like the game thought i still had the gauntlet on :( real buggy game

Assatur is easy if you know his pattern of attacks then get your shields and rocks ready and spam the most power-full arcane beam (steam,steam,arcane,lightning,­lightning) and it'll take about 1-2 beams to kill him within 30seconds.

Time warp, personal shield and then just thunder bolt until he dies. If you don't suck too much at casting thunder bolt you will kill him long before he can kill you and you even outdamage his attempts at healing.

@StexeGod And it's a boring sword that you must keep for a really long time in the game instead of using the more awesome swords, just to kill that one simple to beat boss.

@ShadowUltra What weapon is more fun? Plus, it gets you an achievement! I could understand if it was a staff, since there are a lot of cool staves, but almost all of the weapons are so bland you might as well go for Gram.

@StexeGod Well, my personal favorite is the Knife of Counter Striking which you can see I'm using in this video, while you wear it you're always running and the haste spell increases the speed even further. There's also a hammer that casts thunderbolt when you hit someone with it a teleporting sword that teleports to the target from a distance, but I'm not sure these two swords exist in single player.

But since you want to accomplish the achievement, I understand why you want to keep it.

@caskaziom Personally the only spell I missed at first was invisibility, which is at the beginning of killer yeti area. I suggest finding a list of spells, finding the one that you're missing and google where to find it

I killed Assatur quicker, just bubbleshield (aoe shield) when he casts those ghosts and nullify his meteor showers etc. and then beam him.

You can also nullify the 2 Ghosts from Grognir!

@phlexonance Theres an even easier way.

Move away from the point where you start (because of vortex) then cast 4 earth + 1 shield in an aoe spell.

That will protect you for the entire time, then just steam+lightning+arcane him to death (just try to break 1 rock with the beam)

you did it skillfully :). I just used QFQFAAS (2xsteam, 2xlightning and 1 arcane) and then assatur is a little wet while taking damage. Then call down lightning in quick succession (qfasa) and he takes 10000 damage per bolt. He dies in a matter of seconds :). It also works well against (grognir?)..or whoever assatur was controlling. I think its probably the most deadly combo in the game

@WASD43100 It's not QSAAA, it's FQSAAA. Fire + water = steam, Steam can be mixed with lightning.

@ShadowUltra additionally, you can turn steam into water again with cold so you fire water and lighting mixed. Itsl ike the steam+lightning combo, but you can fool the game that way :P

Fafnir is brutal if you want to confront him up front, almost instant kill if he flames you.

What you did was genius :) teleport near his belly, then let loose the spells! Death in less than 5 seconds!

@ccheng21 Actually, he's weak if you use the shield+fire combo, then all of his attacks can't hurt you at all.

@ccheng21 When I beat him I was infront the whole time, I had a staff that protected me from arcane and lightning, so his only attacks that could affect me were his blue projectile thing and meteors. If he used those I just used the bubble shield
