Why not make people do a 2 hour refresher course, or 30 minutes in the car with a professional when they send their license in for it's renewal? It would mean in order to get your updated license (which you have to have) you would have to pass or at least be signed off by the instructor? Even if the public had to pay £20 themeselves for this, I think it would be money well spent to make the roads a much safer place to be.

Interesting. Very very poor pulling out on the roundabout like that, very basic stuff to know to check the right hand side before going onto a roundabout, I am sure that's how a lot of accidents on the road happen, never mind failed tests.

Have to agree with Pete, there needs to be something in place to keep everyone at a certain level of driving. While no one seems to know what this should be, it is hard to believe that some of the drivers on Britain's roads EVER passed a test?...
