wow...if i did that i'd probably just end up with like two or three huge locks and a few really tiny ones. I'm black and have really kinky hair so if i don't comb it for like 2 days it knots up into these huge clumps that take forever to brush out. I want dreads but I also have to work and pay bills. But big ups going the "natural" way
a "right way"?......there is no right way, and if there was....im pretty sure forcing hair into neat tubes and coating them with wax wouldmt be the "right way"....nature picks which way my hair will turn out...i trust it more than some guide
its all good do the naturaly thing.. and its cool w.e way u pick but fer wit ppl lol.. it kinda looks better getting them professionaly dun.. sum naturaly whites turn out good but generally it looks much better dun at salon for white people .. do ur thing tho. if deyt turn out good thats great.
i disagree with you bmaniggyjunior. the best caucasian locks i've seen on different websites are all naturals. that's why i've chosen to go this route. it just takes time
@TheBrownTies ur choice is ur choice, and ur opinion is ur opinion. but if ur guna say it jus takes time.. any way u do locks there gunna look good after a certain amount of time.. once theyre fully locked and start maturing theyl look good. bood if u want them t o look better faster and ur white id recommed salon. i did mine natural. but im not white lol
ur right i got mine just the same way, iv had um for over five years now and i have to say mine are some of the best i have ever seen cause they are all different sizes and lengths! good job on the no backcomb and no wax!
my hair is rlly curly and i didnt brush it for a week cuz i just didnt feel like it and i got this huge knot and i couldnt comb it out and i ended up havin my long hair cut rlly short which to me really sucked :(
he just washed it once every 2-3 days with Organic Castile Aloe Soap. It works really good. Look for Organic soaps that contain "Saponified" oils listed in the ingredients. Other than that, that's all he did. drbronner dot com is a good soap brand, go check it. amazon and ebay have the best prices.
why do ppl always want "fast" locks....for me the locking process is the best part...lookin at ur pic il tell u ud defonitly suit dreads....they suit most ppl
like the background tune...but not your hair eh!

Dude back comb them, do it the right way....your hair is thick you would have some sick dreads if you just backcombed them.
DejaBlues 2 years ago
the right way is to let nature fix them. and natural dreads looks great
