hey kid... if you check out some other covers, they really suck, so dont down yourself at all. You did a great job! Ive been playing for a while, and trust me, i wish i started at your age. cheers! :)
Ohmy this looks bad. Umm...that was actually a friend posted the second comment. I posted the first one, but he posted the second. I'm soooo sorry. I deleted the bad comment. Actually, now you've reminded me, i might do that tonight (post my performance :)). :) Sorry again.
@mrmajestic27 yup! "stevie ray vaughan". whats amazing is he really played it steadily all the way through, unlike wannabes of this day and age who can play half a lick before they choke out. (:
Don't want to discourage the child, only the person who has no idea how the soundtrack comes across.....take a learning course or put you hearing aid in!!
Playing is definetly not bad for a 10-year old, although of course it's not about age but about the amount of practise put into it.
The person that created this video however should know better than to make people deaf, and the guitar teacher should turn that distortion waaaay down.
1/5 just for scaring my cat with the 140 dB distortion, 5/5 for a 10-year old with such a good taste of music :)
kudos for attempting Tommy Emmanuel. But cmon, u have ears right? It sounded so bad. And why is the title 9 year old plays tommy emmanuel? Like ur some kind of prodigy.
man guys like you prove how fucked up human beings can be.........have you ever heard of the word respect???? man who cares how sloppy this young fellow plays, it's awsome seeing kids haveing fun with music and coming into contact with great music such as tommy's...........better seeing those kids in front of the computer. I if this guy keeps on practising he'll could get a guitar master if he wanted to, believe me. guys like allan Holdsworth started with 16........and you're a fag
distortion is like gravel in soup, it can distroy your hearing. historicly it stems from radios turned into bad amps, and then became a trade mark of rock
Nice Job man, you've got a fine blues feel. But parents get you kid a new guitar or a new amp at least , the kid got talent but the guitar sound gives me goosebumps...
cool, how long has he been playing? I don't consider age a factor when evaluating how good someone is, rather how long they have been playing for. Though there is a dis-advantage to the size of his hands it doesn't make him realy realy good because he is young. if you seen a 30 year old playing this most people would probably say it sucked. no offence. if he has been playing for under 2 years he is doing great but any more then it's was just okay. Keep practicing pl0x :-).
I was grinning the whole time I watched this, especially the impromptu tuning, and his not missing a lick! (grin) ... I hope Tommy Emmanuel gets to see this You Tube video... I am going to forward the link to Gina Mendello, Tommy's manager. :-) NEVER GIVE UP... keep practicing, someday you may be as good as he is!
Hey man that was awesome! How long you been playing for? I've clocked up just under a year and you are seriously kicking my ass. Onyl just remembered that I was trying Stevies Blues some months ago. Be a while before I get it that fast and fluid, nice work!
Don't pay any attention to pasha355. Musically he's younger than you are. When one is learning it is all about supporting each other. Music is an expression, not a competition. Great that you are turned on to Tommy Emmanuel so early in life. He is all about melody and groove. Focus on that in your own playing. Thanks for posting. Good job.
well, it was terrible...

Hard or not - it's not necessarily that easy being 9yrs old, he sure put some work in it
... and/or really has a talent here
And I'm sure by the time that kid is 14 he will be fillin' that one up with lots of delicious licks
So I'm gladly giving 5***** in advance
I can paint the picture ...
Keep up the work and have fun playing
Kind Regards from Germany

@relicbane It was very good, but there were some minor mistakes in the rhythm itself. Mainly at the turnaround. Great for 9 years old though ^.^

okay, 1: I think the reason the sound is bad is because it's a fucking CAMERA SPEAKER
2: i bet very few of you could play like that when you were nine.
