Forza 4 is going to be so much better than this game. They're not promising realistic damage that isn't realistic, they're going to have 500 cars that actually look good, not like they came from GT4, the lighting physics will be better, the cars will actually sound like cars, not vacuums, and they'll have Kinect integration.

@SwiftQc GRID isn't a bad game. I liked the more-intense style racing, but as far as looks, GRID is the lowest quality of them all. GRID is probably my second-favorite racing game, behind Forza, but it's better than GT5, Need for Speed, and other games of the like. DiRT3 is the same way. The graphics aren't great, the physics engine is somewhat flawed, but it's still a fun game. Forza is my serious game, DiRT/GRID are my fun games.

GT5 did something called the Gt academy where the winners of a GT5 tournament got to race real race cars. apparently the winner of the UK version is now a professional racer. besides NASA uses simulators to train pilots, and i think they know what they're doing.

All things considered, Gran Turismo 5 was a piece of shit. And I'm not a Forza fan -- never even played it. I bought a PS3 in 2007 solely for GT5, and it was one of the biggest disappointments in my memory of video gaming. Sega 32X being #1.

Ok, there is alot of fighting between Forza and GT5 fans who say each is better. Can both sides shut up for 1 minute and listen. They are identical. So stop fighting. I have both of them.
@racerkid6980 they are not IDENTICAL Forza is made arcade/easy and accessible for novice to enjoy it's cars are slightly less detailed to allow for Livery editor. Gran Turismo 5 is made realistically for the hardcore racer/driver . It's cars have more detail and reflective surfaces . I have owned them both, though I prefer GT5 more.
@yunova and I own them both and have to say that GT5 is only 1/5 of the beauty that it was said to be, the details on the tracks are crap, the engine noises are terrible, the car damage is rubbish and the gameplay is sterile and dull. Anyone who's ever driven a car at 100mph knows it does NOT feel how it does in GT.. and as for the customisation.. GT5 doesnt have any so..

@yunova GT5 only has REAL damage on half the cars, the backgrounds are 2d, the engine and tire squel noices as well as the 'crash' noises sound like they were made by a person sitting next to a mic and just shouting, not a real car, and it was in production for fucking AGES and yet it is still rated lower than Forza 3 by almost everyone and looks worse than Forza, Grid, Dirt 1, Dirt 2, F1 2010, etc...

well, even though there is people claiming that the damage isn´t progressive, in my experience it it´s, the game doesn´t tell you that you have unlockes it, but i realized that just when I reached the level 20 on a-spec, damage was easier to get and more realisitc, now I'm on level 35,and I get this kind of damage, my ferrari italia even finished absolutely deformed and in a black color, race cars do have this level of damage, standard cars only deform a bit and scratches appear

GT5 did something called the Gt academy where the winners of a GT5 tournament got to race real race cars. apparently the winner of the UK version is now a professional racer. besides NASA uses simulators to train pilots, and i think they know what they're doing.

@racerkid6980 they are not IDENTICAL Forza is made arcade/easy and accessible for novice to enjoy it's cars are slightly less detailed to allow for Livery editor. Gran Turismo 5 is made realistically for the hardcore racer/driver . It's cars have more detail and reflective surfaces . I have owned them both, though I prefer GT5 more.

@yunova GT5 only has REAL damage on half the cars, the backgrounds are 2d, the engine and tire squel noices as well as the 'crash' noises sound like they were made by a person sitting next to a mic and just shouting, not a real car, and it was in production for fucking AGES and yet it is still rated lower than Forza 3 by almost everyone and looks worse than Forza, Grid, Dirt 1, Dirt 2, F1 2010, etc...

well, even though there is people claiming that the damage isn´t progressive, in my experience it it´s, the game doesn´t tell you that you have unlockes it, but i realized that just when I reached the level 20 on a-spec, damage was easier to get and more realisitc, now I'm on level 35,and I get this kind of damage, my ferrari italia even finished absolutely deformed and in a black color, race cars do have this level of damage, standard cars only deform a bit and scratches appear
