these 6th gen accord v6's are beastly when u swap a manual trans into them. my boy has an 01' v6 with a 6 speed w/ i/h/e and his does high 13's! i have a 99' 4banger 5 speed w/ i/h/e. mine is more torquey off the line and pulls harder but after u get over 60mph his shit is just out...

the acura CL v6 never came in a stick the 2.2 did, not the 3.0, unless you got a trans from a acura that had a 3.2 in it, but that was only offered in 2004 on the acura TL, so if you think about it he only got it from a 2.2 v-tec or the 1.8

The 2nd gen CL Type-S came in 6speed in 2003 only which is where he got the tranny from for the swap.

oh i see...i know the 7th gen accord 6 speed coupes are faster then the cl-s 6 speed because of a difference in the 3rd gear and the accords are 3oo lbs lighter

dude i am with the hp. I don't know why everyone talks about torque. why are all of the companies that have professionals tuning the cars to make them fast, tune for horse power. I'll tell you why because you only need torque for towing stuff and if your car is way heavy. p.s. look at how fast the smallest bullet bike is. and they put out a very small amount of hp. they are fast because they are light weight! ps.s the old muscle cars are fast because they weight 2/3 of newer cars and have power.

thats a 6th generation accord in this video. He had to probably get a trany swap because the 6 speedMT came out with the 7th generation accord v6 in 2003 to replace the acura cl 6speedmt. Thats why they gave the 7th generation accords 240hp-250hp instead of 205hp with the 6th gen.

6th is a slug.. its just to maintain speed with lower rpms..

i havnt pushed it to the max yet with the 6spd. i got it to 137 w/ the auto

ya a 2.2 that puts out close to 200hp to the wheels and more hp then a tsx, against a 3.0 that puts out 185 to the wheels.. research your motors before you post a stupid comment, ty come again

No the 2.2 puts out 175whp and 200 to the crank, the TSX is a 2.4 puting out more than that, maybe you should do a lil. research

Sorry but it's not the HP, it's the Torque that should be considered in this matchup. The accord Generates 195lbs of pull at 4700rpm, while the prelude only has a pull of 156 at 5250 rpm. So to end this the Accord is a better machine with the SAME Hp. So no they're not evenly matched, the accord is just better.

the prelude is deffinitly a better machine then the accord. but people fail to realise that this v6 accord was never made in standard. that prelude would of walked on me if i was still auto. its showing you the amazing difference if honda would of did something right

What the heck! What was modded here? I am confused.... I drove an h22a lude and they really lack in torque. But I would say both of these cars can be made to go fast. The ludes problem is weight. Was the V6 accord an auto turned into a standard and thats IT? Or did you go with aftermarket stuff.

I raced a TL typeS and was neck and neck with her in my lude up to like 120mph on a residential road. Thank god we didnt go into 5th. Right by dallas country club. =) Stupid stupid. Maybe she was a bad driver... or I was a good one. =)
