Interesting. Might I suggest not being so violent with the water if you're going to just simulate the surface interactions? Maybe you should read the manual on Houdini, in realflow you can spawn splashes when the surface is perturbed too strongly, houdini might do something similar.
Also, I'm guessing you're lowering the detail of the simulation but, trust me, it's not worth it. Spend a little more time and enjoy an impressive result.
Not to be rude but the surface being perturbed is determined by the weight of the object hitting the water and by the video you have no way of knowing that weight. That may be a heavy wooden tube or a light rubber tube. A light tube wouldnt cause splashes. not a 2 foot drop from something bigger than a doughnut. Houdini splashes im sure, it even has white caps. Im new to this man. Give me a break.
then don't post nub shit. any 5 year old can slap a dynamic fluid object and a torus in a scene and hit render. A REAL artist takes the time to refine before they post examples. You fail at art, EWeenBag.
than put your words were your mouth is AND GO GET THE FREE HOUDINI AN DDO IT BETTER ASSHOLE. II challenge you. If its so noob you should be able to do it no problem. your a jealous asshole.
I bet Ray Tracing's a bitch. is that how Houdini renders? i'm not too familiar with how it renders but i think it would make sense if it used ray tracing.
that's so sexy, can u teach me? o_O

How long did it take to make and render? Also, did you render at HD or just render at a lower resolution and encode it in HD?

it uses ray tracing and depth map. Also uses microplolygon rendering and ray trace micropolygon rendering
AppleSoldier 3 years ago
i bet thats no picnic to render
AymanRSaleh 3 years ago
also, are you rendering at 24 fps? or did you drop it to 15 for youtube, it just seems choppy from my end here.
