Don't talk crap Bill! ID made Doom 3 from SCRATCH WITH ENGINE CODING in 4-5years(!!!) with LESS than 30 people on the team. Valve made HL2 WITH ENGINE in LESS than 6!!! This is OVER 12 years now! If you aren't competent to develop than find another job. How can someone be a brainsurgeon and don't have steady hands? He can't. 3-4 years with a team of 20ppl is enough to make a great game from SCRATCH.
