Awesome video, been playing blues guitar for a year now and Mayer's music is great practice material. The new album is really good in a different way, which should be said for all of his cds. Continuum is my personal favorite, but all are great.

that album is so deep

and all the lyrics are so inspirational

and the beats to every song sound so original

some of the stuff on his new album is too mainstream

which is pretty sad

considering when you listen to comfortable

or split screen sadness you feel so intuned with him

i actually really like continuum, simply for the style, but yea heavier things is a great album! possibly a little too compressed, so it loses some dynamic but hey:-)

i think your right about his new album too, but i love this song, great chord changes and his vocal melodies are top notch:-)

i really liked continuum but still liked heavier things more

i dont own his new album but own his others

so i might not have gotten around to listening to it enough

but this is definitely a good song

and im not saying anything hes done has made him untalented

but it is difficult listening to this after loving his older stuff

and to me it doesnt seem as much rushed as sparse

there doesnt seem like many guitar parts

and one of the most guitar driven songs "who says"

sounds like "stop this train"

i think the chord pregression for the verse and chorus goes like x133xx, 1x321x, x355xx, x535xx but on the first Bb chord and the third C chord he seems to either hold it weird or he is playing something else. if anyone knows post it! on the bridge he plays 1x321x, xx201x, x3534x, 3x533x but im not sure what he plays as he sings "but i cant stop loving you"...i dont think its just a Bb chord. any help would be awesome
