Imo sunny blew his timing push. He should have used the follow up drop behind the 3 minerals like the observer pointed out, he got greedy by trying to go for the throat instead of the hand.

He also should haev killed the drones at back expo first intead of targeting the hatch first.

lol, Jeadong is probably imba but not Zerg, especially not on this map.

Sunny's overall strategy and timing was nice, but Jaedongs micro & macro is simply much better.

Still i think Sunny might have won if he had killed Jae's 3 o'clock expansion while containing him. I just dont get it why i ignored that for like 3/4 of the game.

Terran is imba vs zerg no matter if you consider all-time or recent map pool. However there are maps, that make the matchup fair, but they all are flawed in other matchups, which limits their use ;_;

Actually, its zerg imbalance. Sunny just pulled off a perfect timing push. He threw off jaedong's muta timing, and feint a 2 port wraith play. He then did a fast tech vessels, and attacked crucially before jaedong could get a defiler with consume out. Destination generally requires the terran to go metal because two lurkers can hold a bridge against MnM easily. You would require the tank and goliath force to break that. Most terran going for a bio build has lost against a zerg.

I was so fucking impressed with Sunny's play. I love JD but when I saw Sunny pushing in early and heard the crowd, I really wanted him to take it. It's always nice to see a severe underdog nearly win. His pressure was amazing..I think the death of him was his vessel usage like many of you have pointed out. Had he irradiated and scourge dodged just a bit more effectively he very well could have taken one from the big JD.

Sad to see how close Sunny was from coming back. TvZ is truly imba in favor of T, if Zerg loses a lurker army in mid game, its pretty much GG because sunks and lings cannot hurt well microed m&m but if T loses marine force, he just bunkers up, block with scvs and marines come out very fast.

In other words, playing as Zerg in TvZ is less forgiving than playing as Terran in TvZ.

Sunny wasn't that bad with vessels, JD is just very good at picking them off. If you watch his First person view, you can see JD angle the scourges while throwing few random lings to distract marine fire from scourges. Its just JD's vessel hunting is that good

Wow...that was an intense game. Jaedong would have lost had Sunny been a tiiiny bit more careful with his vessels, and had found the 3 o'clock gas expansion faster.

Very impressed with Sunny. I was convinced till the end that he is going to beat the Zerg champ but like eveyone has said, it was terrible control of vessels that cost him the game I think. A wonderful game and Sunny has impressed imensely.

Sunny had horrible vessel control that game. I mean even if he had saved that one IDLE vessel at the start, he could've used that to irradiate the defiler defending JD's nat. JD's nat would've been lost much sooner had Sunny microed his early vessels better.
