@palui nitrogen comes from the greens he cuts and leaves on the soil. It also keeps heat and moisture in so you water much less often and the microbes in the soil thrive which makes the crop thrive. Tilling dries out the soil and exposes it to sun/elements and kills the microbes the plants need to turn waste into nitrogen and other needed elements. Copy nature, they do a better job, and IT'S EASIER!
