please people get your facts straight. gothic metal has never even really existed, except for some very short period of time with bands like tristania and a few others. symphonic elements or female vocals add nothing to the genre. the term gothic actually derives from the gothic rock genre and has been misused since the 80s. gothic metal is dead for a long time now, while gothic rock is enjoying it's revival in different places.

Metal doesnt contain posers most of the time...these guys hell no they are beast. Slipknot is great too :D But one band I STRONGLY dislike is Hollywood Undead...they copied slipknots masks (this was proven via Guitar World Magazine) and are only half the talent of slipknot haha. But overall metal is a calling and we should all enjoy it ^_^ (ESPECIALLY this work of art haha.)
