We started up a book club within our Humanist group and this book, "Man Made God" has really impressed a lot of people within the group. Well written and concise. I'm sure it will surprise believers and non-believers alike.
@1949rickray We love to hear that! We'd love to see some reviews posted at Amazon. Barbara would appreciate that. BTW, the book is also being used in comparative religion courses at colleges.
We would love to see more Stellar House books in more book clubs such as yours and comparative religion courses at universities as well.
I also today think that Polytheism(s) are far more human(istic) than Monotheism(s), but anyway any kind of Religion or "spiritual" Path, when "institutionalized" becomes quite inhuman (there is a Caste of "elected and priviledged" people, and a ... Mass ... of sumbitted people, who have to obey, and serve, .... Shortly: few manipulate many ...).
I noticed that in the Video it's often said "biblical" and it never says "quranical": is it so out of Fear of being accused of "Islamophobia"? (...)
I read Encyclopedia of myths and Amazon, those books are so precious to me...
I wish I could meet her , I have so many questions.
I believe 6000 years or so ago the earth went through dramatic change(check electric universe theory of celestial thunder chaos) and this made it possible for man to think their thunder god was more powerful.
Just got it here in UK. Looks interesting, on a par with Ruth Hurmence green's ' born again skeptics guide to the bible'
