Dude you need a commissar in that 80 man group. Stick a platoon command squad and order them to do 1st rank fire 2nd rank fire if your within 12 inches of any unit they get blasted with 240 lasgun shots :P enough to take down 20 Terminators.
I never heard of using brake fluid to strip the paint off models before. The guys at the place I play at use Simple Green to get rid of the paint on their models.

It won't totally get rid of the colour, in that I mean the plastic will be stained from the paint, but it will strip it off so that you regain all the detail & can repaint easily.
The longer you leave it in the stuff the better. It costs about £3 from any car shop.
@Dimitrij90 - Points for points probably not. If your only gonna have what you play with. Me on the other hand, I buy loads of stuff so I can change my list as & when I please.
Points wise, a Standard Leman Russ is probably better. All round tougher, only slightly more expensive (in points) & still a good strong blast template. Maybe not as ranged but hey. Who is really gonna be shooting 120" in a normal game?
@deone67 - Yeah dude. It should work. I'd run X2 melta groups with 3 meltas in a Chimera at 155 points a group, then X2 Flamers groups with 3 Flamers & shotguns in a Chimera for 140 points. Also, upgrade the Chimeras to have Heavy Flamers for free. They're much more useful than the boltguns! Auto hits!
The rest is up to you, but this will be a good solid start.
Hmm. It's really down to personal choice. I like Cadians, just because I think they look cool. There are some awesome bits you can buy from forgeworld, but then you'll be paying a fuck tonne.

@deone67 - It's the stuff that goes into cars that helps the breaks work... Or something. I'm no mechanic. If you go into a car DIY store & ask for it I'm sure they'll know what you mean. It cost me about £3. Not sure what that is in $. Maybe $6ish?

Well, no. Not really. The title of the video is 'showcase'. So I'm just showing off everything that I've got. I mix & match my Armies every time I write a list.
In my experiences Valkyries are not really all they are cracked up to be. They're OK like, but for the points I find a Hellhound (standard) is still an all round better choice against most armies. Also, at least you can still tank shock with a Hellhound if all your weapons get taken off. If you really wanna run a Valkyrie I'd suggest using the carrier with rocket pods rather than the Gunship. X3 twinlinked lascannons really isn't as good as it might seem.
you're probably right, but as you can see my armies are the underdogs (at the moment anyway) and also i love the model. the only downside (besides losing lol) would be transporting the bloody things haha.
@RAMBO2BASE i have imperial guard my army my self. about 90-110 gaurds men (plastic cadian, plastic catachans, old school valhalla, talans, and metel chatacans.) 1 basilis, 1 punisher, 4 sentinels, to heavy teams (heavy bolters and missile rockets. , and this month i will have 1 battle force, and 20 more gaurds men. and on whole my army i waisted something betwin 200-350 euros. and i have far away less thanks than you.
I think it looks pretty weak. Also, it's metal. I think my plastic conversion looks much better, or will when it's painted fully. As it is actually a GW model I'm sure no-one would argue with me using it. If they did, they'd probably not be worth playing against in the first place.
Also, I don't really use Marbo in my army. For the points I'd be throwing away I'd much rather take another squad of vets or give some upgrades to other squads.
i stopped with 40k around 2 years ago. i had some IG and also a dark angels army. now im back into warhammer 40k (when i mean now i actually mean last night :P) i bought last year some elysians from forge world. i really wasted my money. i have now pretty much ruined 2 heavy bolter teams and ruined a grenade launcher. so im gonna get back with IG. i can make 10 elysians (2 with the heavy bolter) and after xmas im hoping to get the new battleforce. i will use my elysians as an airborne squad

Sounds interesting. In my experience most people are running mech armies these days so you might find it difficult to take out those armour 14 vehicles. On the other hand 2/3 squads of punishers will mince Marines out of cover. Be wary of taking vehicle squads though dude. They are not as good as it might seem on paper. Instead I'd go for 3, one taking up each F.O.C space. Then just use them to maximum effect. They will be much harder to take out!

Sounds good. I kinda did a similar thing when I started with the Valhallans & Steel Legion. Then I decided it was gonna cost twice as much to do it that way so I went for the Cadians. Also, easier to convert.

Keep at it. He was probably cheating! :P If he knows what he is doing he probably runs it with wings, Nurgle & Warptime. If he runs it like this it'll be a bitch to kill. Focused fire power is the key! :P

Out of what I've got I can probably run loads.... Err, around 30 I guess.
But 6 is the legal limit for a standard game.
In a 2K list I run 3 squads with 3 meltas, 2 squads with flamers & shotguns & 1 squad with Plasma guns.

Ahhh. Well, if you pin the wings on then you can add/remove them as you need to. This makes transport of the craft much easier.

Cheers dude! No, not all.
I've got 5 groups of vets.
X3 Melta squads with X3 meltas per squad. All the other guys have lasguns.
Then:-
X2 Flamer squads with X3 Flamers each, All the other guys are equipped with Shotguns in the Flamer squads.
