  • Hi, thanks for you lovely videos. What's your favourite language?

  • @ppk89 I have none

  • Yeah...Im not a fan on textbooks...not for languages, not for programming languages..

  • You sound like you're in the background.

  • I would definitely come to your garage sale and buy your books. lol

  • On average how long does it take you to become conversational or to the point where you can articulate yourself in daily conversation in each language. Using LingQ how long can i expect to be at that level after studying for around 3-4 hours a day?

  • Depends on the language, how similar it is to one that you know. 3 months to start be able to listen to and read authentic content. Another 6 months of mostly listening to and reading authentic content, by then you will have the familiarity with the language to quickly learn to speak on a variety of subjects.

  • Cool, thanks. I am fluent in 5 languages and now I would like to learn Russian and an Asian language, maybe Mandarin or Japanese.

  • to make ur life easy i would say Japanese lol

  • Why? Mandarin isn't too hard in reality

  • well. now it isnt xD i think Japanese is a pain in the ass now lol

  • Haha why are you learning it then :D

I'm learning Spanish right now and I want to learn Mandarin next, mainly for that reason. Because it would just be completely different and foreign in every way imaginable that it would be challenging and test my patience : ]

  • Nice video!

  • Haha, I bought the yellow version of that 501 verbs for French...I never look at it either.
