oh my gosh, the whole sitting in the car bit you talked about is so familiar to me, lol. social anxiety sucks, cause once it takes over, it's so hard to throw it off. anyhow, i like the way you talk. take care
SAD is indeed terrible. Many times it brings me suicidal thoughts to my head. What's the point of living like that? Either I'll get rid of it or it will soon kill me. ;/
mental illness has caused me to lose a house, trown in mental hospitals, susidial, broken hearted and has messed up a bright future i could have had. days and weeks im ok and others my mental disorder( o.c.d, anxity and depresion) keeps me dibilated. i seen what it also has done to others life...and how people just dont seem to understand it, not validating someone, ect. if anyone does not have any mental illness, pleas understand are illness is as real as any other. get the word out. thanks
i have so bad it interfeard with me going to college it forced me to quit i hate this shit i wanna get over it dont feel bad man ur not the only one it does it too
i know how you feel. im almost 19 and as long as i can remember, ive had social anxiety disorder. theres not a single day that i dont experience s.a.d.
i feel for ya man. the fear that you experience is something that you dont want to go through, but we have to. if you think about it, it makes you stronger if you experience something.
Hey man, keep your head up. I used to work a summer job where I had to stand up all day... took forever to get used to, going to bed with sore legs sucks.
I've had those moments sitting in the car fretting over going into a store or applying for jobs. It's a waste of energy worrying about what people might think. The truth is they are worried about themselves and hardly giving you a thought at all. I remember that, and it helps a little.
Have you considered meditation and or a vigorous exercise regimen to help with the anxiety?Try drinking chamomile tea and mild doses of valerian root before bed to help get you into a comfy sleep.
Yeah I hate those moments. It is a waste of time and energy worrying what others might be thinking. I just wish I could get it out of my mind when it decides to pop in. But I'll give that a try sometime.

Good luck to anyone who has it, though.

It doesn't always make you stronger. Sometimes a bad experience can brake you and make you a cripple. Ergo, Nietzsche was only partially right. ;)

Crowds... not fun.

Yeah it takes forever to get used to. It did suck going to bed with sore legs as well as a bad sunburn that night.

It's a step forward.
- Might not feel like it has, but you did something that most others would of just turned tail and left...
Crowds do scare people a lot, but you stayed, and waited until it thinned out a bit.
