  • minimum rage? lol thats not a bad thing o_o

  • Minimum wages hurt the very people they are intended to help. They do not compel an employer to HIRE anyone at $7.25 an hour, but they prevent young, low-skilled workers from accepting work below that rate, no matter how anxious they might be to accept a lower wage to find work. This is a law against employment, and it needs to be repealed!!!

  • FUCK SAKE! i dont want to hear a rap overdub on a interesting video.

    FAIL

  • actually we have a very long list of small businesses in Georgia who support paying their employees a living wage. they say it "saves" them money and makes for better service. It provides better customer service, more loyal employees, and saves money because turnover is reduced (which means less money spent training new employees).

ALSO: if CEO's are making close to 500 times the average employee in this country, then i don't think there will be a problem having enough money to pay employers.

  • Lets have a raise the customer service campaign. Have you ever gotten decent service at Walmart or Target. Lets do pay for performance. I'd rather pay someone $15 an hour who kicks ass, and keep the other guy at $7.

  • you are completely stupid socialists. Minimum wages are absolutely ridiculous for both moral and economic reasons.

  • There will always be poor people. Yet, there is no reason that there should be working poor people. A minimum wage that ensures individulas and familes can have their basic needs met with the idea that they can step into a better lifestyle is not ridiculous. Hard work is what this country was founded on. If past generations knew they were working to stay poor, I'd hate to see where our country would be today!

  • Wrong, completely.

'Hard work is what this country was founded on.'

No. Your country (I presume you mean America) was founded on the principle of free enterprise, to which minimum wages are the antithesis.

  • minimum wages prevent small businesses from growing as fast, they prevent people from willingly working for less than the wage, people that normally really need that money as $4 is better than $0!!! minimum wage raises teen unemployment and prevents non-union workers from getting jobs. minimum wage raises the cost of goods and services and cuts low skilled workers hours if not putting them out of a job completely. so who does minimum wage actually protect? BIG BUSINESS AND THE UNIONS!

  • raising minimum wage doesnt work because once the wages are raised. Everyone else raises their prices due to various reasons. Be it to make their own ends meet (shop owners etc. Must pay more out so they have to raise their prices to get the money to do so) or simple greed (apt. complex owners and land lords who feel its fair to jack up the price because they feel they can squeeze more out of its clients.)

  • prices went up for 10 years that the min wage DID NOT go up anyways

  • Thanks for showing us how hard people are working in Georgia to pass the minimum wage!

  • I am truly impressed and inspired. The four of you are beautiful, passionate, and nothing less than amazing.

  • Let's roll this out across Georgia!

  • Awesome job Kelly!!
