  • I must say..I'm jealous right now. I fondly remember owning this units little brother, an SA310 back when I was in my early teens. My parents would have probably killed me if I had access to this kind of power back in my less responsible years however. :)

  • Ah, those wonderful Nashville area radio stations. :)

I have a tuner that is similar to your receiver. It has the IF wide/narrow function on it. Handy for pulling in DX.

  • Gotta love the dimension feature of this receiver. Very effective.

  • un diamante

  • que bonito equipazo

  • love the lights and anailizer thats great

  • Beautiful stereo receiver! Man I miss the 80's! I don't care what anyone says, to me the best stuff was made in the late 70's to early 80's.

  • Beautiful piece! I've found a vintage early 80's technics reciever, its mint but the sound doesnt work. Do you know why? Let me know. Thanks

  • beautiful! wow!

  • Cool!

  • WOW! this is really so 80s :)

  • hey nice music and fat basse.. whats the first music called ? what speakers u have ?

  • you must be young as this is a 90's song called THe Humpty Dance by Digital Underground. If I remember right I was using a set of BIC Loudspeakers with the SA-1010. This video was taken about 5-6 years ago.

  • one day this receiver will be worth a lot of money.

  • @danocean111213

i would pay a lot of money for that now!

  • i use to have the SA1000 technics, 330 watts per channel, i found it in a thrift store in tampa for $75. took two people to carry the monster!

  • $75 for an SA-1000 is a steal. It is well worth 75 even if it don't work LOL. They got for alot on ebay. The SA-1000 was the highest wattage consumer stereo receiver ever offered.

  • The Pioneer SX-1980 was another analog monster at 265WPC.

  • @murfreebear i'll 2nd that statement - i HAD ONE check my vids!

  • @murfreebear It worked great for about a year then it went out on me. i took it to two stereo repair shops but they couldnt get the parts, so i ended up selling it as is for $50. cosmetically was excellent. this was about 10 years ago. yea, i see how much they go for now on ebay, kinda makes me sick!

  • 125 watts per channel!? That's insane!

  • man i would love to have that tuner in my room.what speakers are you using?

  • Really nice receiver.

  • Holy shit, that's one piece of kit I would love to have, check out those neon effect LEDs on that baby!

  • hey beautiful Technics receiver xD :) sounds nice and clear xD

  • Nice, sounds good, Those old Technics sure have a lot of bass. My friend has an SA-450.

  • I always thouht it was funny how they had a small tuner dial in the middle. You gotta watch out with the presets with these series they get out of whack.

  • I know whatcha mead this is my second SA-1010 and my first one had the first 3 preset buttons break and they are a B**** to fix.

  • Nice - I wish stuff was made like this still .... i hate all this plastic crap

  • @TheTerminatorT101 back then the things were made in japan, which meant high quality. but sadly now everything comes from china

  • OMFG this receiver is good!!!!!

  • my parents bought me the sa-410 when i was in the 8th grade and i used to dream about owning the sa-1010

i even sent away to Matsushita Electric for the owners manual so i could read up on it. i think i still have the manual somewhere. Matsushita Electric would give out free owners manuals back then and as a kid, i would send away for every model of receiver turntable and cassette deck that technics made just to read up on them. i used to collect those little technics catalog booklets also

  • Wow! Now thats a cool receiver! I've got a Technics SA-410 receiver from 1984. These old Technics receivers sound awesome!

  • Watchen daz blinken lightz! Awesome days. :)

  • yep thats the one, i'm pretty sure that i will fix up real nice. just pray for my sucess

  • Cool I live 70 miles from Chattanooga.

  • i don't think i have got yours because it need some work done . they said when they plugged it in it didn't power up but hopefully i will reserrect it from total neglect. i have found some info about it; it came out in 1983 and it has 120wpc and it had a MSRP of $850. that was cutting edge back 1983, that is when they are experimenting surround sound.

  • was it the one that came from Chattanooga TN that one has been on ebay for a while?? also any luck fixing it??

  • What kind of speakers are you running on it? they sound really good. i just won an acution for one on ebay. i'm so amazed it sounded so clear, but nice unit and keep up the good work:)

  • I have BIC loudspeakers. I sold the sa-1010 on ebay I wonder if you got mine LOL.

  • very cool vu meter

  • That is the "space dimension" display. It was an awsome early attempt to surrond sound.

  • aah, thanks for the info! so what exacly does it "measure"? how much it separates the channels, or is it just there to look cool? (it sure does that job well, hehe)

  • It gives the sound a "matrix effect" or a wide stereo effect.

  • thats a nice looking amp

  • thats a nice looking amp

  • OMG, this is my dream
