MAKE SURE TO GET THE GAME-CUBE VERSION OF THIS GAME!! Resident evil archives does not support the wide screen tv's and your stuck with a little box to view the game ... Game cube version has a nice full beautiful screen.... TRUST me I own the Game-Cube version and tried this just for fun to see the difference.... Cube is the way to go because it play's on the Wii anyway... Taking back my purchase of the wii version

Res evil 4 is unique and well done... BUT this game is better ... I just love the movie style presentation and viewpoint ... Never got into res evil 5 ... But this is a great great great remake.... Game-Cube version I think its pretty much exactly like this and I have that one... Haven't played this version yet so not sure if there are any differences..

Just ordered the Wii version now from Amazon. I'm looking forward to being able to play the game without having to switch discs inbetween like I had to do on Gamecube. Plus I noticed that the loading times for cutscenes inbetween shots are a split second shorter than they were on GC :) It's a very subtle difference, but it's there

They should remake these REs with the laser sight from RE4; that would fix the dodgy aiming that ruins the gameplay in these earlier games in the series.

I irony is, the laser sight in RE4 sucked the skill out of the game, yet would have worked well in these fix camera ones!

The fact is, the reson these games sucked TO PLAY -- they were still a good gaming experince though -- was because of the where-the-fuck-is-it-aiming combat mechnic. If they added the laser sight, u could at least know why u screwed up, not just hope the next time you try the section the game 'lets' u win.

NB: RE5 is utter garbage while its predecssor is arguably the best survival-horror game together with Dead Space. Big difference from 4 to 5.

@Sablicious remove the one thing that makes the game challenging. The great thing about these games is that they look and play nothing like RE4 and RE5. I have been playing Resident Evil for 15 years now and I've never had a problem with the aiming or the controlling. I am pretty sure if you set up the controller you can set it in "auto mode" ... which means when you press the aim button the character will automatically aim at an enemy.

@localSickened Not necessarily. Though the action in these REs is very restrictive, so is the camera. But it serves to highten the tension.

RE5 was junk because it forsook the atmosphere and thriller elements of the series and went down an action path similar to what RE4 balanced took so adroitly, but got lost. REs controls, as they stand now, don't suit straight out Gears-like action.
