  • I took my Remington black plastic banana mags apart and cleaned all the plastic chips and curls out and cut off any bits that looked like mold marks. Plus I use copper plate rounds and the problems went away. Also I loaded the mags with 34 rounds and let them sit for a week to get the spring tempered properly. Now it shoots well, no problems loading or firing. One thing I did notice is the plastic mags wont hold the action open when the last shot is fired.

  • Also, I reduced the spring pressure by cutting off about 3/4" of the spring and stretching it out a bit. Much easier to load and no feed problems so far. Does any one make a speed loader for these mags???

  • Your right on. I had the same results. Clear magazine did not work well so I tried one of the black ones. Both made by Remington. The black one works way better. From looking at the two, the only visual difference is in the molding. The clear one has a noticable tolerance problem between the left and right sides. Remington needs a QC inspector. I have a Cabelas close by and all the clear ones have this problem. Wish they made one with steel feed lips.
