Google Sketchup is a great program. I made a little thing with it go to the 3D warehouse and type, "Fun and random thing I made" and it will come up with a giant white cube with a window, and some other stuff. It's amusing :)

@mateusz1945 the line on the bottom edge of the door also belonged to the bottom edge of the house, when he deleted it, both those surfaces disappeared because they weren't completely enclosed by lines.

@mateusz1945 the walls didn't have a thickness to it; he just drew a rec. and extruded it up, that's why when the opening for the door's added the inside is hollow.

how do you put in a floor? and how are you gonna place furniture inside the house when the wall is in the way? :O

@theaarontjuh it's a bit complex to go into details, but this illustration is just a 'simple' model to show SKU's potential. you can place furniture by 'hiding' a wall. another way is to assign layers and toggling them on and off. for detailed models, it takes way longer than this to add wall thickness, floor, grouping all these, and etc.

hey Kermit the frog, what if we want to do something useful, rather than make a dollhouse? how do you set dimensions on objects?

@xSKOOBSx draw a line, then just type in the dimension. it'll automatically recognise the numbers. want a dollhouse square-shaped foundation? draw a square with the Rectangle command and then type in 35',35', 46',68', and etc.

Hmmm, it might not be that easy to notice maybe but I'm pretty sure somethings off with the (Making a circle and deleting it step), those "circular windows" make the houses walls look paper thin (as if you actually just cut a circle out of a sheet of A4 paper) but the push pull method for making the front door gives the walls of the house a sense of depth, and to me they sort of conflict. Am I the only one seeing this? I've been at 3DS Max for about 3 years now and it just seems somethings off.

@RaiderA528M my thoughts exactly! but i don't think this vid was meant to be in-depth for designers. however if you know the methods involved to "actually" model a building in Sketchup, it's pretty detailed. i've been using ACAD for 2D and Sketchup for 3D.
