I've played a fire mage for years, backpedalling doesn't magically increase the range/size of the cone. it just means you don't have much precision and you need to slowly line it up with baddie backpedalling...noob

@EM0NX which still works if you strafe actually. I never backpedal. I don't agree really with Anax backpedaling but he still destroys and it's not at all extensive and it's never to get away. But still, you can hit someone while strafing and not facing them, as long as your screen faces him
