@whatever, having coached with her and seen her live in recital, I can say she has a LOVELY personality, on stage and off, and is already a managed singer performing leading roles at international houses. I'm not sure how you define "leaving your mark on music"....do you mean becoming the next Sills or Callas? Every singer must define for themselves what their goals are, but I would hope Ms. Phillips is happy with her career as she beautifully shares of this great art form.

no denying its a beautifully produced sound and I really wish her well. But I hope that eventually a distinctive personal approach emerges From what I've heard so far she sounds anonymous. Gorgeous but not distinctive. So many singers are schooled to within an inch of their lives. The result is vocal perfection and little else. But it may be to soon to tell how she will eventually leave her mark on her music and or refine stylistic differences in the different musical periods she sings.
