i read a blog or etc from JBL saying he could barely move and was hurt so he brought up the idea of jobbing in seconds and he hand picked rey...i think it didn't belong on wrestlemania and could've happened on raw..but that's the reasoing supposably for the short IC match..from what i've read anyway

My uncle and I watched wrestlemania and we both agreed that if the show ended right after the michaels vs taker match, we wouldn't have been minded. The match was phenomenal and is my favorite match of all time. My uncle, who watched the steamboat vs savage match when he was young and was is favorite match, thought this was the greatest match he has ever seen. This match was really difficutl to follow and I was really looking forward to the main event. I was disappointed with orton vs hhh.

@blake12689 Yeah we blame Vince for not booking HBK/Taker as the main event. Belt or not, everyone at the time knew that match was going to steal the show so HHH and Orton were in a real tough position.

Nobody gives Santin"A" enough heat for that disaster. I didn't even think it was funny in any way, I was livid. That's when the Divas died and Santina buried them in the following months, dropping the worthless sash to Vicki and pinning Beth Phoenix in 3 seconds. He humiliated JR and wasted everyone's time. How hard is it to book a good Divas match? This goes for ALL Mania Divas matches, just get the champion and fight a contender! This was just a vehicle to push Santino and demean their women.

Well... all other matches looked shit in comparison to Taker and Michaels, but we did still see Cena pick up Edge and Show at the same time... atleast I think that happened. Its an epic spot and its similar in theme to Hulk slamming Andre. A lot of wrestling was botchy but the presentation was sheer spectacle with the entrances. Apart from Kid Rock... for a 25th anniversary he's such a nobody where I'm from. Anyone else think its funny Steamboat was in better shape than Matt Hardy?

Didn't watch WWE at the time. Still have yet to see either Michaels/Taker (sue me) Saw Steamboat/Jericho but Santina and 21 seconds...ugh. I'll have to watch Michaels/Taker sometime but I look at a lot of great matches. Can it surpass Misawa/Kobashi? I'm not sure. Seems like a shitty WM.

In my opinion Wrestlemania 25 is 1 of the worst PPVs of all time! not just wrestlemanias but PPVS! The only things that I will always remember from WM25 are Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels and Ricky Steamboat's 10 minute singles performance against Jericho. Kid Rock having a long ass shitty gig instead of the tag title unification match is a disgrace

The Mickie Rouke thing isn't really the fault of WWE because after they started the angle his management wouldn't let him do as much as the WWE wanted.

I do think the card you're underating because of Taker vs HBK 1.

this was one of the wrestlemanias i didn't bother to buy or watch. i later went and checked out the taker v.s. michaels match on youtube once it was posted. for me...it just felt like they had hardly anything going into it except for that taker v.s. michaels match and i'll be damned if i'm paying vince any more money for a three hour show that delivers 20 minutes of excitement.

@ventekid You bring up a good point. However for us, we paid the 60 bucks. And to be honest, Taker/HBK #1 was such an iconic match to watch as it happened that it made it worth it for us even though most of the rest of the show stunk to high hell.

Orton/Triple H was a great fued with a horrible match. The HOUSE angle part that appeared on RAW was cheesy for the fact that when Triple H was going through the house looking for Orton, random people would come running out screaming. Really, is this a haunted house? That was stupid.
