Avid is the only off line editing suite in the broadcast world worth using. I would always use Avid. Final Cut is good for home use and indie films. Though Avid too make a version for home use and amateur film makers.
@Raabamillo LOL, i can remember a time when Avid was the ONLY offline digital editing tool out there, you had to digitize all the media in from Beta tape, do an off-line edit, then transfer the timecodes into a beta suite and then hope Avid hadn't fecked up somewhere and basically wait while the suite did an automated beta edit....THEN, you got to play with sound, effects (basic) and do any retouching (pre-paintbox) on something i can't remember the name of, but cost a fortune..good times...NOT!

God damn those three are lucky as f***! But editing a trailer is easy and fun to do. I thought it would be something challenging, I edit trailers for fun all the time and in the end it's just a hobby.

The hard part is managing to do it in a creative and imaginative way. You said editing a trailer is easy.. i suppose technically your right. Whats hard is editing a trailer WELL.
