sorry im cannot understant what kind of chili did you put in the recipe, that you say its optional? im wonder because i love all spicy chili so i wannt to try this chili :)
this is what I always order in thai express... it doesnt have sprouts though :P and uses this thick noodle i think its rice noodle but oh wells THIS THING IS AMAZING I LOVE IT!~!!!!
I just wanna say thank you for all your videos!!!! My mom is thai and she passed away 2 years ago.. Now I know how to cook meals like her because of you :)
Thanks for posting this I am hispanic and I LOVE pad thai my husband aswell, but it is too Pricey! 19$ just for 2 adult dishes now I am going to make at home and save lots of money and the best part I get to eat alot of pad thai.I looked for the recipe online and it looked difficult finding the items and you showing them on video helped alot Thanks a bunch!
there's this awesome thai restaurant in my town called Thai Orchid Cafe, and all the cooking gets done by a husband and wife couple, but their restaurant barley makes money because its right next to a big, cheap, mexican restuarant chain... sad... mmmm now i want pad thai...
Great recipe Kai! I used this to make pad thai for the first time the other day and I think that your recipe for the sauce tastes more like the restaurants version than the paid thai sauce that comes in a jar. The noodles I made were yummy and it cost me less to make the sauce than it did for me to buy a jar of pad thai sauce since I already have the ingredients at home. By making the sauce myself, I can make as much as I want and not be afraid that I will not have enough sauce to go around.
You are the best cooking teacher!!! I love your no fuss cooking. Simple and easy to follow. I want to try everything you make. I'm officially a subscriber. Thanks for doing the work.
I made it but i used some left-over Jasmine rice.If you use rice, it has to be cold from the fridge, or it doesn't work as well. I also used 1/2 T-sp DARK soy sauce, as if making fried rice.
Instead of "SPUR" chili(could not find any) i used some small, fresh, red Cayanne peppers. WOW!! HOT AND GOOD!!!
U'r recipes rock, i mess with the ingredients all the time, instead of going to the market, i can usually substitute, and make it as good.
I want to cook that dish so bad. I have so many of your amazing dinners lined up to cook. With hopes they come out just like the way you have them looking. You are the best cook in the world. my friend. You have brought me into being able to cook good food at home for my family. I hope you have the best weekend ever. God bless you and your family. You ROCK!
Hey Joe: I recommend trying Kai's Pork Fried Rice (dead easy, and you can substitute chicken) or General Tso's Chicken. Very delicious. Thank the maker for Kai!!
Ohh by the way, i just remember my question, is there anyway to make pad thai for the noodles not bunch up together? like have it more spread out besides adding oil?
I'm coming for dinner, tonight!

Thanks Kai. This was easy, tastes great, and I like the fact that you're not picky- just see what you have in the fridge!

@FckOffification Thats the only way I eat it. But you'd have to add a bit more sugar to even out the sweet/sour taste and it's deliciouss!
