All wind turbines in any condition and of any size aren't disturbingly noisy all the time from anywhere around them in any weather conditions. I wouldn't complain about this noise either. I would complain if I had to pay for the full cost of the electricity these things produce and live in the dark without me tele whenever it isn't windy.

What's your point? To me, that's not a good scenario. The oil will run out and before it runds out, as it gets scarce, it'll get hugely more expensive.

We need alternatives. Wind however, is not an alternative to oil - unless we have electric cars :)

You're right about the wind-nimbys, there's a group of people protesting an installation off of the Texas gulf coast, and because the statement of 'it ruins the view' didn't work to stop it, they've begun spouting this awful pseudo-scientific 'diagnosis' of wind turbine syndrome, the validity of which I question greatly.

I love this video! This is my experience with turbines - no noise! What's the big deal anyway we all drive cars louder than this by a long shot! If you use electricity at all you shouldn't be one to bash wind power. I travel with my husband all over the US and he erects these awesome things and NEVER has heard noise like everyone seems to be so worried about. My children & I also visit every farm several times and there is no noise!

one must imagine the constancy of the same freq. drumming in one's ears, especially if he or she is used to a relatively quieter life. It's more psychological then anything. Perhaps it can be attributed as a mass psychogenic illness. Or they just may be finding something to blame for their increased stress levels during these enduring times of war, economy, and change. Whatever it is, one must be sensitive to the issue and not say there is no issue at all because that would be ignorant.

However, if made-up problems are being used to undermine a perfectly good technology that forms part of our renewable energy future along with wave, tidal and solar, then that needs to be exposed. Remember, climate change won't wait. We need action now. Wind power can provise around 20% of the planet's electricity.

I agree with the urgency for alternative energy sources but I don't find the resistance to wind turbines as problematic as the complacency of this generation however I agree it is a problem nonetheless. Seemed to notice wherever they place wind turbines, controversy seems to follow.
