I understand where you're coming from. I attend church regularly and the hypocrites are there but they have no heaven or hell to put you in just like you said. The misconception is that being a church attendee is the same thing as living a life devoted to God. You are NOT a christian just because you go to church, it's about lifestyle. Being religious/going to church and being a christian are not synonymous. Showing up at church on Sunday doesn't mean that you have a real relationship with God. But, if you say you are a christian then your lifestyle needs to line up with what you say.
i remember i was on the vegas strip and these christians were promoting there beliefs and it sounded like they were trying to cram their beliefs down people's throats. the tone of their voice wasn't very peaceful either. not saying all christians are like that and i am catholic
From what I have seen and experienced in my relatively young life, it seems to me that organized religion is nothing more than a tool that man uses to manipulate others into following THEIR word. A religiosity man can literally do anything he wants to do so long as he says "in the name of God." That way, you can't argue with him because then you'll be "arguing with God." Which will then make you a heathen. Its all about power and mind control, when it should be about "love". God is love, right?
I feel the same way. When I was a kid, my parents made me go in the prayer line. I just always felt forced to pray out loud, or sit in the first pew of the church. As soon as I got grown, I just didn't go to church. I still respect the church folk, but that's not my style. I can praise God, and read my bible on my own terms. Then on top of that, they always asking for money. I'm good. I give to people in need when asked. And I put that 10% in my bank account.

They are just like 80% of this planet sheep. I am a Christian and it's been the center part of my life for 13 almost 14 years. Im as devout if not more devout than the people you speak of because of one thing that a lot of them only have half of, or none at all which is a PERSONAL relationship with god.

Ive been saying for years that I will never go to church, and i havent been to church for 20 years for pretty much the same reasons. So I really dont know. I know my mother would like for me to go, but when i ask her why, she dont quite convince me. Shell just say, it will do you good.

I know Im not perfect and Jesus said Himself "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"(John 8:7). This brings me to say that whether or not someone goes to church, as long as they focused on their relationship with God, i dont see anything wrong with that because a lot of people go to church to learn more about God which strengthens their faith in Him.

It would be great if those of us who DO faithfully attend church would lay aside the religious pride and listen to this REAL issue in many churches. Rather than take offense at "how it's said", just accept the reality "in some churches" that is being exposed and work on changing it. I know for a fact that there are MANY churches and church folk who are VERY real, but reality is there are too many who are not! I'm working on changing that with God's help and THIS vid made me even more determined!

One day she came up to me while we were working and said she had a dream that I was the only in my family who wasn't caught up in thd rapture and I went to her for guidance and comfort. I grew up in an abusive household all b/c they took the bible and used it as a tool to be powerful, judge, and abuse. I feel you on this subject. Becuz I was raised in the church and I eventually got saved. But I learned I had to fall into sinful situations to see that I was messed up just like everybody else. So now I dont Judge becuz I hate how it feels to be judged. lately I have learned something valuable. It is to look over the things that people say in this case (church folk) becuz If I get mad I stay mad. So I learned to forgive them even if they don't know cuz it helps me when I see those same people

I am one of those that sits in church almost every week, and I feel the same way you do. I get tired of the hypocrisy and holier than thou attitudes I see. The way I read the bible, God told us to take care of the widows and orphans and to love people, as Christ loved us. Not waiting for us to be perfect, but loving us no matter where we are in life. I live less than 5 minutes from Creflo Dollars cult headquarters and you couldnt pay me to step foot in his church. Those people are the worst that ive come across. They feel that because they go to a mega church that tgey are the foremost authority on christianity but i digress. I understand where you're coming from. I attend church regularly and the hypocrites are there but they have no heaven or hell to put you in just like you said. It is only by the grace of God that any of us will make it to heaven, bc nobody is perfect. It isn't even about how much you go to church or whatever, it's about your personal relationship with God. The misconception is that being a church attendee is the same thing as living a life devoted to God. You are NOT a christian just because you go to church, it's about lifestyle. Being religious/going to church and being a christian are not synonymous. Showing up at church on Sunday doesn't mean that you have a real relationship with God. But, if you say you are a christian then your lifestyle needs to line up with what you say.

From what I have seen and experienced in my relatively young life, it seems to me that organized religion is nothing more than a tool that man uses to manipulate others into following THEIR word. A religiosity man can literally do anything he wants to do so long as he says "in the name of God." That way, you can't argue with him because then you'll be "arguing with God." I feel the same way. When I was a kid, my parents made me go in the prayer line. I just always felt forced to pray out loud, or sit in the first pew of the church. As soon as I got grown, I just didn't go to church. I still respect the church folk, but that's not my style. I can praise God, and read my bible on my own terms. Then on top of that, they always asking for money. I'm good. I give to people in need when asked. And I put that 10% in my bank account.

It would be great if those of us who DO faithfully attend church would lay aside the religious pride and listen to this REAL issue in many churches. Rather than take offense at "how it's said", just accept the reality "in some churches" that is being exposed and work on changing it. I know for a fact that there are MANY churches and church folk who are VERY real, but reality is there are too many who are not! I'm working on changing that with God's help and THIS vid made me even more determined!

Speak the truth. My college Theology teacher says that nobody should claim to be a Christian, it should be seen in the way they LIVE. I agree because u can read the bible all day long, but u don't understand it unless u are living it.

I completely agree with what you said about the woman who think finding a religious man is the right way to go. I grew up in an abusive household all b/c they took the bible and used it as a tool to be powerful, judge, and abuse. The whole woman are beneath you thing was a constant issue that created abuse in my life. Ultimately that PULLED ME AWAY FROM the religion I grew up in . I believe we are equal and what sex you are should never mean you are lower or higher then the other.

I feel you on this subject. Becuz I was raised in the church and I eventually got saved. But I learned I had to fall into sinful situations to see that I was messed up just like everybody else. So now I dont Judge becuz I hate how it feels to be judged. lately I have learned something valuable. It is to look over the things that people say in this case (church folk) becuz If I get mad I stay mad. So I learned to forgive them even if they don't know cuz it helps me when I see those same people

I am one of those that sits in church almost every week, and I feel the same way you do. I get tired of the hypocrisy and holier than thou attitudes I see. The way I read the bible, God told us to take care of the widows and orphans and to love people, as Christ loved us. Not waiting for us to be perfect, but loving us no matter where we are in life. I know I have a lot of stuff I need to work on, so I show my beliefs through my love for those around me, not preaching at them. Great Video!

That's exactly what they are church folk, not Christians so idk why folks would get offended, if they're Christians rather than church folk. church folk may judge you, look down on you, glanced at the bible a few times, while still doing their dirt. but Christians, real Christians who show love and compassion like Jesus Christ are the complete opposite. Plus Christians don't have to go to church just to be considered saved but some just go to get a better understanding and have a covering.

1000% agree with you. that's why I never liked church in the first place and this is coming from someone who's father was a preacher. I don't agree with the lifestyle or ways of church people because they do portray the image of being better than people who don't faithfully go to church all day everyday and they sit up there and make people feel guilty for not living their lifestyle and to me that is bullshit. yea i also know a lot of church ppl who judge but I have 2 ask them this one question. If they are so perfect, what are they doing judging me? that question right there makes the evaluate their lives. Im not in any way trying 2 say that ur opinion should change but I feel like knowing that only God can judge and if he aint the one judging u, those ppl should be over looked. everybody has experienced ppl like that once in their lives tho.
