The shut-door doctrine was the first sanctuary doctrine and it declared the end of the gospel forever. That's how the SDA movement was raised in the period 1844-1851. They can deny it all they want but we got those sanctuary articles from 1844-1851.
I was a seventh-day adventist. I was not told the true history of this movement. The shut door sanctuary doctrine lasted from 1844 to 1851. It meant, it announced the end of the gospel dispensation. Huge mistake backed up by many visions of Ellen White in the 1840s.
Ellen G. White lies about this in her book The Great Controversy, where she presents an open door or gospel sanctuary doctrine, the present doctrine, as having began in 1844.

That is precisely what the shut door teaching (never a doctrine) meant. You may not have been taught it because we moved past it and so it is no longer relevant.
From what I understand from various things I've read regarding the Shut Door doctrine. It taught that Christ had shut the door of salvation to everyone but the adventist believers who had joined the 1844 Millerite movement. Joseph bates taught that they were entering a 7 year period in which God would test those adventists and that Christ would return in 1851.
But eventually this doctrine changed and they started to allow people to join the church again.

As I understand it it was a short term belief that only applied to those who had consciously rejected the 1844 movement. Dr. Jerry Moon has done extensive research on this subject.
When Jesus didn't return, and time continued to past and the people who were alive at the time of that movement started to die, the generation was quickly passing. They had no choice but to change their thinking.
Miller used the Karaite lunar calendar, which keeps the weekly lunar sabbaths to get to 1844. SDA keep the weekly cycle sabbath but still hold on to 1844, its the adventist sabbath paradox.

Throught my life I have had beautiful dreams of Christ. But, I did not know who I was seeing in my dreams until Apr.1997. I was almost murdered 1 night. Christ was the only person that was by my side as I lay dying. At that moment I knew that it was Christ with me and He comforted me. All my life I had dreams about Christ and they all led up to that 1 night. Everyday I wakeup and thank God for another day to do His will. Many churches have gone astray from sound doctrine. Many pagan ideas have crept into the churches, all because we want to compromise our faith, thinking we will win the lost over, but in reality they win us over. We must keep in mind that even the elect will be deceived if possible. Don't be fooled, every movement had a profit. Do a study on William Brenham, I think his name was. Benny Hinn spoke about him as being one of the great godly men for the movement.
Many churches have lost their way. They take one scripture, have a fantastic band, and because the crowd is so hungry to hear God's Word, they start falling down, shaking, sometimes start barking, and I know this because I was raised in these churches. They call it fire from heaven and I too have fallen many times under the influence. Jesus told us the devil would be able to call down fire in the sight of men.

Yes, Christ is now at the right hand of God, read on. Heb.10:15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First He says: 16. "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my Laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." (in keeping God's commands we are under His Grace).

I was a seventh-day adventist. I was not told the true history of this movement. The shut door sanctuary doctrine lasted from 1844 to 1851. It meant, it announced the end of the gospel dispensation. Huge mistake backed up by many visions of Ellen White in the 1840s.
Ellen G. White lies about this in her book The Great Controversy, where she presents an open door or gospel sanctuary doctrine, the present doctrine, as having began in 1844.

From what I understand from various things I've read regarding the Shut Door doctrine. It taught that Christ had shut the door of salvation to everyone but the adventist believers who had joined the 1844 Millerite movement. Joseph bates taught that they were entering a 7 year period in which God would test those adventists and that Christ would return in 1851.
But eventually this doctrine changed and they started to allow people to join the church again.

As I understand it it was a short term belief that only applied to those who had consciously rejected the 1844 movement. Dr. Jerry Moon has done extensive research on this subject.

Miller used the Karaite lunar calendar, which keeps the weekly lunar sabbaths to get to 1844. SDA keep the weekly cycle sabbath but still hold on to 1844, its the adventist sabbath paradox.

Throught my life I have had beautiful dreams of Christ. But, I did not know who I was seeing in my dreams until Apr.1997. I was almost murdered 1 night. Christ was the only person that was by my side as I lay dying. At that moment I knew that it was Christ with me and He comforted me. All my life I had dreams about Christ and they all led up to that 1 night. Everyday I wakeup and thank God for another day to do His will. We can never be done growing in our Lord, so my friend stay strong in God.

I just wanted to add that since I can remember Christ has been in my dreams. However I did not know that it was Jesus until I was almost murdered. Yes, well I would have to say that I have been asking Christ into my heart most of my life. However I did not completely surrender to Him until I had almost lost my life. As I said before April 10, 1997. For many years I knew who my Lord Jesus was, I just didn't have a personal relationship with Him until I had almost lost my life. I now have a personal relationship with my Lord and Savior. Every morning the 1st thing I do as I awake, is to thank Him for another day to try and do His, not mine.

THE facts are, the seventh-day Sabbath is a Jewish institution, established in Horeb, and continued in force on the Jews until their law ended. When that law served its time out, or filled the office for which it was given, it ceased, died, was abolished, taken out of the way, and nailed to the cross, and the Sabbath being a part or parcel of that law of works, it was abolished(Advent Harbinger, Nov. 22d, 1851). check it out 4 urself sda members u probably have it in ur library for check out.

Jesus warned us in the last days that there would be deceiving spirits. They would deceive because they are a counterfeit of the Holy Spirit. Many churches have gone astray from sound doctrine. Many pagan ideas have crept into the churches, all because we want to compromise our faith, thinking we will win the lost over, but in reality they win us over. We must keep in mind that even the elect will be deceived if possible. Don't be fooled, every movement had a profit. Do a study on William Brenham, I think his name was. Benny Hinn spoke about him as being one of the great godly men for the movement.

They take one scripture, have a fantastic band, and because the crowd is so hungry to hear God's Word, they start falling down, shaking, sometimes start barking, and I know this because I was raised in these churches. They call it fire from heaven and I too have fallen many times under the influence. Jesus told us the devil would be able to call down fire in the sight of men.

I think you have me confused with Ellen White. She is the one who received a blow to the head with a rock. That is what caused her to go crazy and begin predicting the return of Jesus every time she opened her mouth. I guess you could say EW was a rock and roll prophet. lol

How they escape the scripture that declares that Jesus, when he ascended, sat down at the right hand of the Father, placing him inside of the Holy of Holies, is a question that demands an answer (Heb. 10:12)!

"sat down at the right hand of the Father" is a reference to Messiah's equality with the Father. to apartments are clearly described in the book of Hebrews, study for yourself do not rely on biased websites
