What America needs is an America First agenda, create and stop exporting our industry and jobs to other countries. We need to take care of America and not China. A more viable option for cleaner energy at this point is Diesel made from coal. Why does our Government not pursue this. Our infrastructure already supports this cleaner more energy efficient fuel.

Green energy is a joke and at this point is not practicle in the USA. Our infrastructure is not set up for it and it takes too many solar panels and windmills to produce enough power to equal that of one Nuclear power plant. The wishful thinking of brainwashed idiots have cost U.S. taxpayers Billions and what do we have to show for it. Not much! We cant afford new reckless ideas right now. Lower gas prices and taxes will better our economy and create more jobs.

Government needs to to stay out of the markets and business, let the market find its own way. The only thing our Government needs to do is protect the American Market by taxing imports at a equal rate that our exports are being taxed. There is no excuse for the bad descisions being made. I think the same govt that created the Interstate Highway system to accomodate the Auto Makers or the Airports for the Airlines or NASA might want ot invest in a future where we don't beg for oil and we make things in America.

The energy costs to produce a panel overrides ANY environmental benefits. One panel would have to be used for 20 yrs to make up for the environmental costs to produce.

The difference between Solynda and Southern Power Company is the federal gov't went out of its way to help Solyndra and they couldn't get off the ground. Southern Power company relies on coal and alot of the Georgia waterways. Both of which are hard to come by these days, yet Southern has managed to stay in business.

@meltdown53 WINDMILLS + HYDRO TURBINES + SOLAR PANELS = sustainable energy. Hell, you could hook up the exercise machines in gyms to turbines to produce electricity. There's many ways to help sustainable energy to become a reality. All that is needed to figure out is how to stop fish and birds from dying from the turbines. And quit hating on Obama for it. Just because Solyndra fell, that doesn't mean it's all his faul. There's many factors at fault here, don't just attack the figure head.

@vgman94 I am ALL for green and clean, I do not believe government should put OUR money on the line, plenty of investors out there, Green Job Subsidies Don’t Work, Just Look at Spain...Solyndra is Not the first, Green Vehicles – Salinas, Calif. Went out of business after spending more than $500,000 in city taxpayer dollars, a battery plant in Holland, Mich. business touted by the administration for its “green jobs” no longer exists.
