The event that followed, Clifton being escorted out by security guards, happened while the cameras where not rolling.

Obviously this is the genuine Clifton and it's sad how a big-time show like that would handle him so badly. I don't blame him for being annoyed and outraged. I feel badly for Charles who is just an innocent victim here unlike the overbearing Dinah Shore.

Kaufman was not the only one performing as Clifton, he had some of his friends suit up and pretend they were Clifton and Kaufman would appear next to him to confuse people further. Clifton is not a real person, look it up!!!

I just discovered Andy Kaufman today and have spent the last few hours watching videos of him trying to figure out his gig and I am so done with him. He's just a guy who wants to be god. Like all of us I suppose in our own way, but as with the rest of us it's so unattractive.
