  • The strongest planes are Russian planes ? right right prefer a Boeing are Airbus above russian....

  • the plane is bulky

  • exelente

  • Beatiful bird

  • woah, im suprised what a beauty this plane is.

  • Now thats's a nice plane. Would love a ride in one of these beautys

  • I would like to see these aircraft in person. Perhaps I will need to visit Russia. Thank you for posting something I do not see everyday here in USA.

  • Soviet/Russian planes have structural integrity cuz they are not commercial planes. They have been designed to serve in the fleet forever by their designers.

  • For all history of operation with plane IL-96 done not happen accidents and the failures which have entailed destruction of people.

  • The Russian planes-best in the world. Envy more modestly... Boeings and other nonsense

  • YO MAN!! russians are the best but i'm sad they have been left behind by USA in terms of engineering and technology.

I HOPE THEY CATCH UP SOON.

  • i <3 ll86 and ll96

  • @miamad I see you shit on every thread about Russia - it is not first time I caught you on that - do you have some low selfesteem problems that you want to bs. about others to feel better about yourselve or what?...This plane has the best safety record in the world by the way, the same as Il-86 which was build in hundreeds and have served for decades.

  • @miamad sosi my member

  • So sexy avion

  • hear it roar like a tiger

  • It's nice, but I like AIR FORCE ONE Better!

  • very loud plane

  • Comment removed

  • In soviet Russia, plane built strong

  • @southwestguy223 In Soviet Russia car drives you

  • in soviet russia, plane crashes YOU!

  • @southwestguy223 this plane was built not in SOVIET Russia - it was built in Russia AFTER Soviet Union collapse - serial production started in 1993.

  • Yes I'm aware of that. the plane was built after soviet era. But thanks :)! It was just a small joke. but o well!

  • You cannot draw any conclusions about the Il-62 from the LOT accidents because a) 41 other airlines operated Il-62s and found it to be very safe, and b) LOT's accident rate with the Il-62 was 30 times higher than the average. LOT ran its Il-62s to 3000-35000 hrs between overhauls (rather than the 2000-2500 hrs recommended) and did not have equipment to remove engines or do turbine vibration checks which would have identified the problem long before it became dangerous.

  • werry AGRESSIV STRONG,, LOOK LIKE SHARK--- VERRY NICE 5 STAR FROM HUNGARY

  • Fantastic airplane from a classic builder.

If this plane would have been build by a Western company we would see the IL-96 fly in large numbers all over the world.

  • i love these old stars.

    especially heavy lifters.

  • The world ain't what it used to be...for a while we were made to believe that everything from Russia was bad but here's the skinny, the IL 96 is a long haul jetliner which costs the same price as a boeing 737. the 737 and its brothers have crashed so many times while the IL has never...

    I'm totally Team Ilyushin!!

  • "the 737 and its brothers have crashed so many times while the IL has never..." Thats just because 737 have at least hundred times more flying hours than IL-86 and IL-96, and much more 737 are in service every day than IL-96 and IL-86.

  • it's also because you learn from other people's mistakes...

  • Pvjinflight,

You're right about the flying hours but so many US build airplanes have crashed because of structural failures that were caused mainly because of design flaws. Failures we don't see with Russian build planes because their structural integrity is second to none.

The strongest planes are Russian planes.

  • Yes, some US made planes crashed because design errors, i remember two 737 and one DC-10, but they did fix the problems. But also IL-62 had design problems in it engines, and it cause LOT flights 007 5055 crash. And design error in engines cause both crashes, first one was IL-62 and second IL-62M.

  • Pvjinflight,

Not some but many US planes have crashed because of structural failures/design errors.

The metal fatigue and overheating problems in the early IL-62 and VC-10 were solved during developement stage.

  • Pvjinflight,

And both LOT crashes were caused by either bad maintenance, wrong crew action and a wrong move by the pilot. The IL-62 is a far safer plane than it's Western counterparts the 707 and DC-8.

  • IL-62 engines major design errors were main cause of both crashes. After crashes they hopefully bought good 767´s In lot flight 007 engine failed, and pieces of it damage the flight controls, plane was Il-62 with Kuznetsov NK-8. After that, Lot flight 5055, plane was IL-62M with Soloviev D-30, but it had same prolem which was in Kuznetsov engines, in this flight also engine explode, it start fire and loss of flight controls. Il-62 is safe nowadays, but it also had problems like DC-10 / 737

  • Pvjinflight,

Because of metal fatigue. Why do you think LOT upped the inspections? They were negligent. 90% of the IL-62 hull losses were caused by human error. The IL-62 was and still is a very safe plane. Far better than it's counterparts in the same class and era.

It never encountered the ridiculous structural failures that happened with the 747, 737 and DC-10 and other US planes on numorous occasions.

  • The 707 and DC-8 are both mainly retired from US service and are ancient technology. All new generation Boeing and Airbus planes have since replaced them. The IL 96 might be "strong" but there's a reason western airlines don't buy them even though they're cheaper. Boeing and Airbus aircraft are better, safer choices out there for them. It's a simple fact.

  • @ILTUSU the us planes crashed bcz it many thousend of them in the world!!not bcz of structural-failure!! russian-plane are mostly used only in rusia or few country in easteurope!!

  • @lauriersroses333

It's a fact that many US planes have crashed because of structural failures

and many were caused by design flaws.

  • @ILTUSU that's so true. classic example: MiG-29s could take off and land off soft-fields. try get an F-15/F-16/FA18 to do that..

  • @ILTUSU I know the President of Poland would agree with you on the structural integrity of Russian built aircraft, if he and the other 95 people on his TU-154 were around to talk about it. Design flaws are inevitable on any newly manufactured aircraft. They manufacturers have to work the bugs out, and sometimes flaws are detected after a tragedy. Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, and others learn from mistakes, but this IL-96 is the nicest Russian aircraft I've ever seen them produce.

  • @theoldsmuggler1

What did the crash of the TU-154 with the Polish President had to do with structural integrity?? That crash was caused by pilot error and the flight crew ignoring the automatic onboard flight safety systems. The TU-154 is not to blame in any way.

  • @ILTUSU It was russian plan of kill polish president

  • @ILTUSU Really? Almost all of Boeing and Airbus crashes are caused by pilot error, not structural failure. And at least the pilots that causes a majority of these crashes weren't too hung over to take off or land correctly.

  • @scaremenga

YES!! Really! Like i said many US planes have crashed because of structural failures and design faults. Why don't you look it up to see for yourself??

Typical failures and faults for US build planes. And these failures and faults

    are well documented and televised!!

  • @ILTUSU I said almost all. And unlike the Russian manufacturers, Boeing actually made a large amount of commercial aircraft, thousands of them. I would bet that there are at least 6 times more Boeing aircraft in the sky and on the ground at any given moment. The only flight that was caused by the manufacturer was TWA 800. The DC-10's crashed like hell, but that's because the airlines operated and maintained them improperly.

  • @scaremenga

Structural failures and design faults have nothing to do with how may planes are flying. The DC-10's crashed because of a design flaw with the rear cargo door.

The same goes for the 747 front cargo door! Both design flaws! Add to that the rudder design(PCU) flaw in the 737. Engine mounting bolts in 747.

Wrong adhesives in both MD and Boeing planes. Flamable isolation materials, explosive insulation materials.

  • @ILTUSU The fact why American jets crash. is because there is build 10000x more american commercial passenger jets

  • @JVC7400

If you compare flying hours for every passenger jet on average (this is the only FAIR method of measurement) the Russian jets still have almost twice the distance flown for every crash, and that includes many small and poor airlines which skipped lots of service on them, and never changed parts when they should have.

Compare that to say the McDonell Douglas DC-10 which had lots of design faults, including its faulty cargo bay door, that came off in midflight.

  • @McLarenMercedes May i see documentation?

A FAIR documentation? the american / european aircraft are more often flying in crowded airspaces. i would not say sibiria or asia are as crowed as central europe or the USA. (maybe china comes close). but not as much...

  • @ILTUSU Mostly ALL crashes Especially with U.S built aircraft are due to either A, pilot error, Or B Extremely bad weather. The Boeing 777 holds the world record for being the SAFEST plane out there with almost 0 fatalities.

  • This plane of the president onboard system of the notification about on fall, system of attack TESLA, but I can be mistaken:) For technical reasons IL-96 IL-86, never suffered(bore) disasters two falls from for a mistake of the pilots

  • I from Russia certainly I like Russian planes, but my love it BOEING 747:) for ever!

  • is it a nice and safe plane to fly?

  • yes, its safety record is one of the highest in the world

  • First flight - September 28, 1988

    Produced - 1993-Present

There were no incidents with fatalities (16 years operation)

    from wiki

  • they only made 18 types of this aircraft. There shouldn't be a problem. More planes = more problems and accidents. Small fleet easy to maintain and fix.

  • no accidents since 1988.. and ever)

  • In my opinion the most beutiful plane in the world. Russia will come up with some of the best planes in the next decades I think. Got to love them. :) Putin kind of scares me though, but so do the playmates in playboy, so I don`t really know...

  • I love Russian jets!

  • nice airplane !

  • What a great looking aircraft. Wish we had more of them here at Düsseldorf. It only flies to Düsseldorf when the russian president comes here. Sadly it's not enough.^^

  • The comment for RoyalStandart

  • hawker445 who's comment on this video was:

"english is very comon in the air traffic. i bet you don't even know how to fly an airplane, you russianbs are bad at every thing"

  • It was the biggest plane before A-340 appeared

  • Say what????

  • wondaer what its range is

  • fully loaded max. 11 000km

  • I am really sorry for this very stupid question, but how do I know weather it is Mr Putin's plane or not?

  • just a guese, if it was putins plane it would be called russia 1. lol

  • Putin's plane, followed by EasyJet on the runway? :)))

    Are U mad?

  • I think i saw this plane when he came to Thailand for Asia-Pacific conference in Bangkok ;-) hehe

  • yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaa if u want to be a pilot u russins you got to speak english

  • Yeah, just because an american brain can't afford learning Russian :-)

  • nazi pig

  • Who is a nazi pig ?

  • hawker445

  • Sounds like the VC-10 at idle power!

  • eto ne Putina, u nego RA-96016

  • it sounds fucking amazing!

  • Putin plane !

  • @ciutankamoon nope

  • Is this the russian presidential aircraft?

  • Yes it is. He was in Buffalo to flip the coin prior to the Bills/Dolphins game, but stayed for the chicken wings.

  • @icedude212 nope

  • very nice plane! Ameizing engine noise!

  • she's hot!!

  • I want to fly with this plane so bad..

  • its such a huge and beautiful aircraft. i like it

  • I like that plane)
