Well, the one point that has any bearing on me is that my company IS asking me to work more hours.....plenty of OT and DT.....and that's fine with me. There's people in my company that are pissed off because of some of the cutbacks that were made, and they have a poor attitude....so they do the minimal amount of work. Fine, I don't mind picking up the extra cash while it's there. As long as the company is willing to pay ME the extra money, I'll keep on working the hours nobody wants.

Bush was not the worst pres. in American history. That title is firmly in the grasp of Jimmy Carter. As for solutions, how about we stop the spending on projects not essential to the well-being of the country, such as the space program, archaeological digs, and the NEA. As for health care reform, allow cross-state insurance competition. Overall, we need to get back on an actual budget, where income is >= the amount of spending. If I ran a business the way Obama runs the country, I'd be in prison

the politicians have never explained fully where the new jobs are suppose to be coming from, all they say is stuff like "Technology" is suppose to move in and replace the lost jobs without anything to back it up like company contracts or written interest from job providers.

Hey lee, normally I am supportive and encouraging but today I am going to be critical, but not of your content.
I do not really like this format, for two main reasons: First, maybe I am slow, but I have a really hard time processing what the president is saying and what you are sub-titling, and when I am watching it I feel like I have to process both. Second, it kind of looks like you are putting words in the presidents mouth.
I much prefer your newsroom-style open criticism.

Well, the one point that has any bearing on me is that my company IS asking me to work more hours.....plenty of OT and DT.....and that's fine with me. There's people in my company that are pissed off because of some of the cutbacks that were made, and they have a poor attitude....so they do the minimal amount of work. Fine, I don't mind picking up the extra cash while it's there. As long as the company is willing to pay ME the extra money, I'll keep on working the hours nobody wants.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding that seems to be shared by many on the left. Reagan did not GIVE money to 'the rich,' he simply TOOK LESS of the money that they earned. It's Obama and Bush who, via bailouts, have GIVEN to failing corporations from the public treasury (which would be us taxpayers). Just because Reagan's budget had a deficit doesn't excuse Obama tripling the worst federal deficit in history in his first year alone.
