I've covered the platform in 3M high-stick Masking Tape. It's just right and you can replace it bit by bit.

I think I saw a site that stated others had this problem becuase the material does not stick to other material -- so the person created groozes in the platform so the first layer would have something to grip on. Good luck!

slow down the speed of the machine and add a fan with a diffuser so it won't blow the project away
