i agree. i have my engine brake set at 3 with a empty trailer the thing barely slows me down. with 49,000 load faaagetaboutitt. the thing is worthless. coupled with the maxxforce engine. this truck is a nightmare. i want my old detroit back
@inktoxicated When someone else had dad's Prostar Eagle, he went to the diesel doctor and he could not get into the engine with the diagnostics computer to tune up the horsepower and engine braking torque.
My dad had drove a 2010 International Prostar Eagle for a company he likes working with. it had a maxxforce 13 and very weak engine brake that is not effective when going downhill! it didn't even pull the hills at all! the engine brake was effective as a bobtail. he doesn't drive it anymore and it has 120,000 miles now and now pulls the hills.
