Buddy Holly was tamazing though - it is hard to imagine now the tremendous impact his very original records made on us at the time. Pat Boone had white shoes and made a couple of covers of Richard, Fats etc but he was not the bad guy. The screwd ones were the producers/rec companies that made a bundle of USD at that time. Don't pick in BB, R Valens, Holly, Cochran, Elvis, Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis etc. They did they own thangs AND stood for it. They Where the the real guys/real thangs + all the good R&B, Doo Woop, Bo Diddley + blues by Muddy, Elmore, Howling etc. The goood vintage RnRoll lives on. Rest is bullshit. Believe me.

BUT I think that's not fair to him as he was just another product in the big rec companiies. He get some songs and sung them. Ok, he made money, but he was just another singer and he's intention was not not to steal..

com..not to steal from another black singer. NADA, not at all. He Got some good RnRoll songs in his hands and he sung them pretty well ( I',m not comparing his versions by the Richard et als ones.) It's very easy afterwards to be clever and put the blame at some one singular person. I think that Pat in his innovative way on the contrary paved the way for the real black Rnroller's as Richard et al as teeens saw and heards the real thing. Pat did some real good 'smoothers' in his own right.
