Man I was just watching the Jordan game when he scored 63 against the Celtics in '86, which was still amazing. But I realized, he had 2 overtime periods to do it too. Also Kobe scored 62 through 3 quarters and, in that same game, became the only player in NBA history to outscore an entire team...So, again, it is not like he hid in a closet until this game. To me Shaq and Kobe both led the Lakers to their 3-peat. Kobe took care of business in the 3 rounds previous to the finals while Shaq struggled with FT and foul trouble. But Shaq was definately Finals MVP at least 2 of those times.
Like Shaq couldn't have done it without Kobe, Jordan couldn't have done it without Scotie Pippen, but we all know they are HOF.

He played worse BEFORE his injury. 2000 finals: 15.6 ppg on 37% shooting. 2004 finals: 24 ppg on 37% shooting, and 14 rebounds in 5 games. 2008 finals: 40% shooting. 2010 finals: 40% shooting. Kobe in the first 3 rings was a nice little sidekick.
