Non of them is canon; unlike most games of this type, none of the two is clearly the main heroine over the other. Though Haruka does seem to be the fan-favorite (maybe the anime had something to do with it) and she does fit the role a little better just because she's the first girl.

Also, he can dump the both of them and screw any of the other girls too (like Akane) and be less of an ass or much much more of an ass depending on the player's choice.

The one who started the relationship was Haruka's friend and the one who ended their relationship in a way was also Haruka's friend. You know how when time moves forward, things change, she's been sleeping so....but yeaaa I was upset with it too. Like wat the heck ur girls in a coma!!!

Why are people so easily upset? If anything, this anime is UNDERRATED. Look, I know everyone hates Mitsuki because she apparently 'stole' Haruka's life, but think of it from her point of view. You're in love with a guy, and he's obsessed with your best friend who's in a coma, and he won't ever let her go. Yet, you continue to care for him, because you love him. Then, she wakes up, and after all your hard work, he jumps up at the chance to see her again. The guy's a douche. He didn't deserve her.

@YumeNoEien It's my understand that Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien -Next Season- is an OVA that follows an alternate timeline where episode 14 doesn't happen. Which makes it more of an extended alternate ending than an actual sequel. I haven't watched it either, because I think the original ending is pretty much perfect.

This anime was originally a dating sim game with multiple endings, so in the anime it was Mitsuki (the purple haired one) bur there's also a sequel/OVA kinda thing where he ends up with Haruka (brown haired) I personally liked him and Haruka together better but its all a matter of perspective

I like Haruka more but picking Mitsuki was the "right choice." The only issue I have with the ending is the reasons Haruka gave as to why had to say "goodbye." It makes sense I suppose since he was so torn between the two but if he really wanted to be with Haruka than those reasonings should had meant next to nothing. He's a good guy but since I can't see why they would go to such lengths for him, he should had just taken them both.

seriously, this anime is sooo wonderful. I am not a person thinking long time about a film or an anime. But THIS anime, is something special. Its not the thing that i cried alot while watching it, the reason is, that this is damn realistic. Its neither ridiculous nor strange. All characters act like they would do in real life, and thats what is letting me think about it such long time. I watched it like 3 months ago. Its something special youll never forget, watch it.
