Dr. Chomsky recently told Iranian TV that at the time the US invaded Afghanistan, they had no evidence that al Qaeda had done 9/11. See my video "Chomsky on Faith-Based Wars and 9/11".
I enjoy listening to Chomsky but differ from him where he offers the Monarchies of Europe (both present & past) a safe haven. I reckon the continuing passivity towards monarchies simply allows them to continue looking down at the working class thus cementing the class difference. In other words the sooner we get rid of them, the monarchies, the better. Noam might not think along the same lines.
rail on them all you like but they often produce a slight improvement from a strict capitalist state. for example citizens of morocco are free to use cannabis.
But Holland or as you say the Netherlands didn't invade Iraq pretending that there was a need on the basis of Nuclear stockpiles. Pure bunkum. I have no squak with people who smoke cannabis but I do think there is a tendency to be laissez faire Liberal when it comes to evening up the score on the Imperialist front.
I'm talking about drugs and monarchies, not imperialist countries and foolish wars. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they are great. I'm just saying that sometimes they are more free than republics. And I hardly think allowing personal sovereignty is "laissez faire." It's more like "laissez-moi seul."
Are you even incorporating anything Chomsky is saying in this video? Because I was under the impression that was the reason you first replied to my comment. Phrases such as "terror" to me imply that the sons of the British Monarchy are involved in a world wide bullying campaign against nations who don't tow the western line. Comprendez?
As are many other European financial power states. I understand why you harp on about Holland though 'cause your a pot head. No worries "comrade". Roll another.
Take a look at what Chomsky has to say about Leninism, you might be interested. To me it is pretty much discredited and just authoritarianism with socialist rhetoric.

I have heard him talk about Stalinism but never heard him say a word about Lenin or Trotsky.
If he is familiar with the works of those two and the history of the Russian Revolution he knows perfectly well what I said above and thus, wisely chooses not to talk about them.
Chomsky doesn't "choose not to talk about" Lenin or Trotsky. Look up their names in the index of Chomsky's book "Understanding Power", read the relevant text, and you'll have your answer. Your comments are absurd.

I heard it. He even said something to end that Rosa Luxemburg was against Lenin and Trotsky LOL. He said Lenin was a dictator LOL! Poor lackey of the captialists knows NOTHING about the Bolsheviks or the Russian Revolution. ANYONE who is familiar with the works of Lenin, Trotsky and Chomsky, like I am, knows for a fact taht compared with the two former, the latters analysis is very shallow and simplistic. Thats not to say everyone likes the former more. Chomsky himself is anti-Marxist.

He said in verbatim "the Soviet Union was relatively successful in building an economy."
"Relatively" successful???? WTF??? Despite the invasion of the bandits and fascists of Anglo-American and French imperialism and their attempt to mass murder the population. The embargo and then the Nazi invasion, the USSR went from a mostly peasant country to a global economic, military, political and scientific superpower in less than 30 years and Chomsky calls it "relatively" successful LOL.

From what he's written, you can tell he was acquanted with most left wing literature, but found little use for communism.
In America we had a labor movement with libertarian tendencies as well as marxist or lenninist ones.
Like most people, he seems to consider lenin as irrelevant.
