how to evolve starters:1.First you have to have beaten the whole game which means you also have to have beaten darkrai already.

2.when you beat darkrai you will start at your cliff. go outside talk to cresselia and hire her.

3.go to spacial rift and beat palkia again. he will ask to be hired. hire palkia.

4.do three days of missions and manaphy will return. she will ask you to hire her. hire manaphy

5.there you go! you can evolve your starters!

well..when you start the battle. u and ur partner r a space apart. take the step closer to ur partner and then throw a sleep seed at diagla or palkia. Then set ur partners moves to its strongest, like if it has overheat, set that, or dig. I would then you dig if u had iit or maybe a really strong fire move. they key is to use ur strongest moves and to throw a sleep seed at it a lot. Hope i helped!!

It actually does evolve with levels. When you're on a certain level, the level of evolving, then you can go and evolve. :)

you just play untill he grows up. You hatch his egg then he goes away for awhile. Then he comes back and you recruit him. Chattot will let you know when he is back

you have to complete story first then do these missions: rescue scizor (talk to mr mime in treasure town), take care of manaphy until he goes back to the sea,then youll start having dreams,do about 7 random missions AFTER ALL THAT palkia comes and kidnaps you and he will try to destroy you.(you gotta graduate from guild first) good luck.message me if you dont know what to do.

oh, well you need to do a couple dungeons like rescuing and bring in outlaws, and eventually you will wake up one day, and Manaphy will be outside of the cliff. He will tell you about Marine Resort.

Then thats your que to go evolve at the springs.

FYI, I just evolved my Charmander and Totodile today :P

Now I just need a Treeko, and then I'll evolve him into Sceptile and my awesome team will be complete.
