Wow. I already knew that you are one of my very favourite vidders for any fandom, but this, my dear, this is so brilliant!
The song, the lyrics, the cuts, the slow beat, the flickering Soo Lin Yao (!!!), the picking up beat and the lingering suspenseful anticipating atmosphere, then this violin screech. And the end! Oh, the end. Oh, this scene. It is so very perfect for this song and for this whole vid, because of the main theme of loneliness and then there are Sherlock and John, meeting!
NICE song choice, I loved that it had a Sherlock-soundtrack feel to it at some point (around 2:23, "Baker Street", hah perfect). I think it was a little too fast though, it seemed to me like you wanted to cram in as much as possible and I didn't really like the ending because it felt... unprofessional? old-fashioned? while the rest of the video was pretty sharp. so I liked the idea of it and it's obvious you know how to make it look really dynamic and smooth, but you need to slow down too.
I'm not sure if I've commented on this video or not. If I haven't SHAME on me. I've watched this video so many times. I love it! The use of song, effects, timing, and sheer brilliance really set this apart from the mold.
I love it. It's absolutely perfect for Sherlock. :3
That was amazing-just beautiful, clips, and music choice are terrific. They evoke the essence of Sherlock...all Sherlocks really, perfectly. Also this was seriously one of the visually sharpest and clearest vids I've ever seen. If I had never seen this show, I would have to see it after watching this vid.
Wow! Words fail me. The footage you used is impressive - all those little things: eyelashes, signs, scenes I wouldn't have thought anyone remembers consciously seeing.
This is. INCREDIBLE. The way you cut these clips together, the pacing, the way the song builds from this slow ominous feeling to that hectic, almost chaotic mood at the end and the clips get faster and jerkier -- definitely one of the best vids I've ever seen. Amazing juxtaposition of the clips of the Golem reaching for his victim with Sherlock and his gun, too -- I got butterflies at that point.
Holy cow, sweetheart - that was GORGEOUSLY and eloquently edited. Excellent choice of song (and this is a great version) and I loved how you showcased London and the sense of isolation in all the characters, minor and major, so beautifully. This is a beautiful, thoughtful piece of work. Very well done you!
