Does it really matter who is better between Celtic Woman or Enya? They are great. As for who is really better the answer to that is simple. Loreena McKennitt :-) my opinion.

I wonder if they have ever corresponded with Enya for musical ideas. Celtic woman also plays other new age music. I think they should work on something that would make good movie theme material. If you want to be remembered for an excellent piece of music...what better way than in a great movie...Gladiator theme, Last of the Mohicans, etc. Of course voices would have to be part of the scheme, perhaps even some special effects in the voices??

I'm a big fan of Celtic Woman and I have avidly followed their progress to international fame. I love their version of Orinoco Flow! The vocalists in this video are original members - Lisa Kelly, Orla Fallon, and Meav Ní Mhaolchatha (Chloe Agnew and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt are not performing). Orla got replaced by Alex Sharpe and Meav was replaced by Lynn Hilary. I believe it is a strong factor that members not only have pure singing voices but are also classically-trained musicians.

They get a 9.3 for the effort to bring this deceptively difficult song to a live performance.  One can understand why Enya has held off doing concerts, as it's nearly impossible to reproduce the multi-layered acoustics and harmony that she is able to meticulously craft in her studio.

Celtic woman are definitely good, but the songs they perform are sung a lot, like "Over the Rainbow","Somewhere","Nella Fantasia" etc by IL DIVO, Sarah Brigthman, Charlotte Church, etc. same songs over and over...I agree about Enya, with her, there is no need for anything else.

I just had the privledge to see them perform in Pensacola, Fl. last Saturday night. They are , by far, one of the best group of artists I have ever heard. The concert was top notch. The artists were in tune, the dancers were right in step, the fiddler was worth her weight in gold !! If you get a chance, see them.

its a traditional irish song really, enya is the one who made people really listen to it outside of ireland, but this is a great version of the song as well.

I agree 100%. Nothing against Enya, I think that she is great when she sings the song. Nevertheless, I believe that Celtic Woman are better at singing the song. I give them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.

Certainly Celtic Woman singers use more English words in the song than Enya does; since I'm not Irish I can't understand half of what Enya sings in her version. For some reason I prefer the Celtic Woman version better. Enya's version is great also.
