  • Not at all. This one got much warmer & much faster too.

  • how did it end up working? am i better to go with the dealer item?

  • I ordered the replacement from amazon.com. I usually find everything on there a little cheaper.

  • I'm about to try this on my 06 Tahoe. Thanks for posting this, it helps me a lot knowing someone else has done this without problems. I will just be replacing my seat bottoms as the backs are ok. Living in Colorado, we really need these to work. :) BTW, where did u order ur replacement elements from?

  • Yea I got it done....It was simple. My video skills suck so i didnt have a chance to string all the videos together. I only replaced the bottom heater pad. It only took about 20 minutes this way.

  • I just installed heater pads in my '05... don't know if you got yours done or not, but it's MUCH easier just taking the seat out and disassembling it on a bench. The lower cushion comes off with two nuts and everything goes back together really simple. I yanked the driver seat, installed the upper and lower heater, installed the wiring harness and switch, and had it all back together and running in less than 3 hours.
