Elvis definitely looks like his parents. His face is shaped just like his mother's. He has her eyes and eyebrows. He has Vernon's dimples too. This is a wonderful son. I have never heard it before. I have 7 wonderful grandsons, aged 16-22 years. I think that Donny Edwards looks so much like Elvis. Could he be his grandson? It's a thought!

sorry I should have written a little more .. I really like Elvis version .. RH just has a different pace, the phrasing is somehow more considered and lyrical. Elvis rather cuts short the emphasis on the words, like he's just singing it out where as RH seems to mean it.

I guess it's only a performance which ever you prefer !!

Love this song; this is the 1st time I have really, really looked closely at his parents & find it strange that he doesn't resemble either one....he is so gorgeous & they are just average looking people....can't see any of the First Nations look with them either.....mmmmh, gets one wondering?

Originally, it's a french song !! Claude François, the original singer of My way ( Comme d'habitude) wrote "Parce que je t'aime mon enfant" in 1970 and sing it in English in 1977, My boy !! But in 1974, Elvis sing "My boy" like we could heard on this video ;)

Thanks Cibetty. A lovely picture archive set to music and many songs I had not heard before. Elvis has such an enormous back catalogue and an incomparable voice. My favourite clip of him is when he sings in black on a slightly raised square stage with the audience sitting on all sides. He was at his absolute peak.
