Ok.. how long do Brazilian rainbow boas live with proper care? I ask because google results suggest completely different answers. Some sites say up to 20 years and others say up to 30. What is the correct answer if you know please I would appreciate it

@TheSnake123kid i dont know, if he has a lot of snakes already, then maybe you should think about waiting a bit. i am only 14, but i am responsible. also red tail boas dont get too big, but you are stilll going to have a get a bigger tank than you would with most pythons, corn snakes milk snakes etc. also feeding a lot of snakes can get expensive. hope this helps.

bcc bci standard are extremely attractive i think, a male wouldn't probably be huge, i think as a step up in size from...say a smaller ish one....crb brb small ball or something, or east african sand boa**kenyan** but they are quite different , but boa's are awesomely grand looking i think lol, the slightly bulldog head, and very "practical" , also i love dumerils , tree boas ...... like them a lot but the pythons not so keen, feeding regieme , wouldn't take a chance i could harm it .. :)

hey BHB crew and reptile owning youtubers. i recently got a male ret tail boa for free, unfortunately he was covered in mites and scars. its been 4 days and his mites are totally gone with mite-off treatment, but of course the scares will be there for ever :/ today i also noticed that in his nose he seems to a little crusty and it sounds like he has boogers when he exhales hard. my question is, is this a repritory infection? and how can i treat this?? plsssss reply or send me a message! thanks!

@MoodyEdghaim thanks for the reply man, i ended up taking him to the vet that day. vet game him a shot and told me to keep feeding him once ever week or 2 weeks, keep the heat on him at 96 all day and night. now 3 only 3 days later hes doing muuuuch better and nose is much more clear :]

Since I live alone and don't have much space a boa is the biggest snake I would probably ever get. I don't feel that it's responsible to keep animals in an apartment that could overpower or kill a person. A new reptile shop in my area has a green anaconda as well other formidable reptiles such as carpet pythons, a 4 foot caiman, and some huge monitor lizards. How would you even contain, let alone care for a snake that will grow to 30 feet?!
Bally pythons are highly quantified in todays pet market. Guaranteed most of those who voted for bp own one and not a boa. BP are great snakes, but come on... boas are still a much better snake, at least in my opinion.

I dont know if I ve seen all the Boa morphs in the world but I think the greatest looking Boas are the Sunglow Boas. Just bright colors of orange and white.
My favourite boa morph is the albino motley. I just love their beautiful pale yellow colour on their body. It's just so beautiful. Anyway,great show. I love boas. They are one of my favourite snakes and I was thinking to have them as my third pet since I have had a pueblan milk snake as my first pet snakes and green tree python as my second. Fyi, my favourite boa is the amazon tree boa and I'm thinking of having that as my third pet too with the boa constrictors. LOL. =)

(I found that I like chocolate covered bacon, so... who knows?) :)
You didn't mention Dumerils boas! :) I know, you don't have them anymore... but they are my favorites! I have two of them, and hope to breed them someday (if they are willing). My 2 favorite boa constrictor constrictor morphs are the sunglo arabesque and the lipstick sunglo (that I saw at the Myrtle Beach show).

Jungle Sunglow, and Motley Sunglow are my favorite morphs. One of my favorite snacks is a creamcicle because its part popcicle and part ice cream. I also love the color of them which Sunglows match perfectly. Orange and cream all the way.
glad we got to see more boas. last boa episode turned in to a ball python one. you could of shown much more stuff like the paradigm/glow, the aztec, other version of the leopard. there was no anery love at all, whether ghost or normal or moonglows.
I assume it's because you don't have those and it's just easier to show what you got.

My favorite boa morph has to be a nuclear albino kenyan sand boa. It looks like sunny d had a baby boa with lemonade. I have to resist drinking it. It looks sooo good.
I for one respect Brian's stance in refusing to comment on the situation with Kel. My favorite boa morph is the hypo harlequins. They're color is just so amazing and is one of my favorite colors which is a light brown color. The red spots on it's tail is also really cool. I love snakes with another color on it's tail.
I've got a question for someone who may not know much about reptiles, mainly snakes, but really likes them. What would u recommend as a small to medium sized non venomous snake that's fairly tame? Just to get a feel for handling, care, body language,etc.
@utookmynames i myself would recommend either a cornsnake, milksnake, kingsnake (only house one in a tank they are cannibalistic) or of course the ball python, but my favorite has got to be the cornsnake they are some cool snakes. just do you your research before you buy one
my favorite boa would definitely have to be a sunglow the coloration is absolutely beautiful also the anery's are pretty cool too while i still have yet to buy a boa (even though im ready for one) boas are probably my favorite type of snake because while its still a large snake they are very docile and lets not forget the blood boas that is one cool snake the red tint they have to them is absolutely beautiful well i love the show guys sam needs to wear the little red riding hood dress more;)

I love boas! My favorite is the Rosy Boa. They are not as small as a sand boa, but they do not get to be as big as most other types of boas. They have beautiful color patterns. The Bay of LA morph has beautiful red and silver stripes, and as they get older the stripes become brighter. They are beautiful snakes, and most of them are very social.

One other thing that makes boas a cool snake is their colour change according to their heating conditions.
When they are really white, it usually means they are trying to deflect heat and when they are dark, I believe it means they are trying to absorb it.
Pretty cool considering snakes normally can't ever tell you much about themselves

Jungle Sunglow, and Motley Sunglow are my favorite morphs. One of my favorite snacks is a creamcicle because its part popcicle and part ice cream. I also love the color of them which Sunglows match perfectly. Orange and cream all the way.

glad we got to see more boas. last boa episode turned in to a ball python one. you could of shown much more stuff like the paradigm/glow, the aztec, other version of the leopard. there was no anery love at all, whether ghost or normal or moonglows.
I assume it's because you don't have those and it's just easier to show what you got.
good stuff guys love the show. also can't wait till you feature both more boas regularly AND some of your blood and borneos. I dig those second best after boas

My favorite boa morph has to be a nuclear albino kenyan sand boa. It looks like sunny d had a baby boa with lemonade. I have to resist drinking it. It looks sooo good.

I for one respect Brian's stance in refusing to comment on the situation with Kel. Whatever happened between them is none of our business, and I for one would not appreciate my previous employers sharing that kind of information with ANYONE, never mind in a public forum. The lines between media obligation to keep their watchers informed, and personal integrity crosses far often. I really respect and appreciate Brian for keeping quiet about the issue. It speaks volumes about him.

My favorite boa morph is the hypo harlequins. They're color is just so amazing and is one of my favorite colors which is a light brown color. The red spots on it's tail is also really cool. I love snakes with another color on it's tail.

I've got a question for someone who may not know much about reptiles, mainly snakes, but really likes them. What would u recommend as a small to medium sized non venomous snake that's fairly tame? Just to get a feel for handling, care, body language,etc.

@utookmynames i myself would recommend either a cornsnake, milksnake, kingsnake (only house one in a tank they are cannibalistic) or of course the ball python, but my favorite has got to be the cornsnake they are some cool snakes. just do you your research before you buy one

my favorite boa would definitely have to be a sunglow the coloration is absolutely beautiful also the anery's are pretty cool too while i still have yet to buy a boa (even though im ready for one) boas are probably my favorite type of snake because while its still a large snake they are very docile and lets not forget the blood boas that is one cool snake the red tint they have to them is absolutely beautiful well i love the show guys sam needs to wear the little red riding hood dress more;)

I love boas! My favorite is the Rosy Boa. They are not as small as a sand boa, but they do not get to be as big as most other types of boas. They have beautiful color patterns. The Bay of LA morph has beautiful red and silver stripes, and as they get older the stripes become brighter. They are beautiful snakes, and most of them are very social.
